I wouldn’t describe this metal detector (black and red) as a kids version. It’s full size for adults but its price makes it a value product for metal detecting. I’m not a hobbyist, but it’s going to be fun to have around the campsites to keep my teen busy. Quality is good for its price point. There’s a fair amount of plastic and aluminum. Not heavy duty pro grade, but it does keep the weight down. Functionally, we tested it in backyard and it detected random metals as expected. But the real test will be our next camping trip coming up soon. Batteries (two 9V) were included which was a nice touch. It also includes over the ear head phones and a tactical looking garden shovel. Neither of which are pictured or mentioned. A nice soft bag with a shoulder strap is included and the metal detector fits nicely by adjusting the length to its shortest position. Assembly is easy and instruction manual is fairly easy to understand. Could be a better manual though. The sensitivity button doesn’t appear to read “sens” on the detector’s control panel. Fonts matter. Overall, I think who’s could make for some family fun and maybe it’ll even pay for itself someday.

Been wanting to get into metal detecting for a while and picked this one as my starter unit. Assembly was super simple right out of the box. I took it to a local park and within the first half hour found a few coins and a rusty bottle cap, so I guess it works! The screen is bright enough to see in sunlight and the armrest makes it comfortable to swing for a long time. It gives different tones for metals once you get used to it. The waterproof coil is the reason I removed a star from my review. IMO its waterproof in the sense that it will not get damaged if you put the coil in water but I found that when using at the beach (I didn't try water detecting at the park lake due to bird doo) the salt water seems to have an impact on its ability to detect. It went a little wonky (maybe just my unit?) so I took it out, dried it off, and it went right back to detecting as before. The waterproofing is really nice in the sense that you don't have to fear the water but I don't think you are going to be able to detect in a few inches of water without issues. Maybe its just salt water? Not sure. The build quality is solid but still light enough for my teenage son to use too. Battery life lasted all afternoon. The included shovel and bag were a nice touch. It’s not a pro model, but for hobbyists it’s perfect. Fun to use, and now I’m hooked on seeing what’s under the dirt. At the beach you are going get a lot of hits, some junk and maybe if you are lucky some finds. Kids love it and it is truly a great tool for "treasure hunting" with the family for fun.

Easy to use metal detector for beginners. I'm walking our property and have found horse shoes, metal pipes, fence materials, nails, bolts, and bottle tops. Makes for a fun way to get some outside time. I plan to take it to the beach next trip we go. Battery life seems beyond what I could require in one day. Feels quality made and a good price for the features. I'll be sure to update if my experience changes.

This metal detector is lightweight and very easy for kids to use. The screen is clear, and the automatic sensitivity adjustment makes it simple without constant tweaking. It’s sturdy enough for outdoor use and waterproof for shallow water fun. Great for getting kids excited about exploring.

The media could not be loaded. I’ve wanted a metal detector for years but never pulled the trigger—borrowing one was always the plan, until no one I knew owned one. When I needed to locate the iron property-line pipe between lots, this PANCKY model showed up. Skeptical at first (it’s feather-light and the screen screams 1980s arcade), I’m now a convert. Assembly & First Impressions (5 Minutes Flat): Everything arrived complete—no missing parts. The shaft clicks together in seconds; no tools needed. It’s fully adjustable for height, and the arm cuff flips between a rest or Velcro strap. At under 3 lbs., it’s fatigue-free for long hunts. Bonus: it comes with two 9V batteries, headphones, a collapsible shovel with depth marks, and a padded carry bag with side pockets—ready for RV, boat, or trunk storage. Learning Curve & Real-World Testing: Indoor testing is useless (too much interference), so I set up a quick backyard range: pennies, nickels, quarters, and a large bolt on cardboard. The detector nailed every target instantly, with clear tone changes and on-screen icons for metal type. Sensitivity adjusts in 8 levels; I ran it at 6 for the yard and never got false signals from grass or soil. Property pipe? Found in under 5 minutes.
