I picked this up to start a new hobby and it’s been getting me outside a lot more. It’s light in the hand, adjusts fast, and folds down small enough that I can keep it in the car without it being in the way. The screen is clear, the buttons aren’t confusing, and I wasn’t stuck watching tutorials just to start using it. I also like that it’s not super loud - I can hear it fine without it being annoying. Only small con is you’ll spend the first outing figuring out what settings you like, but after that it’s easy. Definite recommend from me!

I like to do my searching later when things are quieter, and the lit screen is a bigger deal than I expected. I can read the display without needing to shine my phone flashlight at it, which keeps me moving and paying attention to the ground. The interface is laid out in a way that makes sense, so I’m not stuck doing a lot of button tapping just to get back to the mode I want. The detector gives me enough information to stay organized: a general idea of what I might be over, how deep it might be, and the sensitivity level I’m running.
