Description

Slice through mushrooms, pepperoni, and extra cheese with ease with the OXO Good Grips 4-inch Pizza Wheel. Its sharp stainless steel blade cuts through crunchy crust, and is large enough to accommodate Sicilian and thick-crust pizzas. A die cast zinc thumb guard keeps fingers away from the blade for added safety, and the large, soft handle absorbs pressure. You can rely on this wheel to make a complete cut through your pizza pie on the first run, thanks to its beveled stainless-steel blade. It works equally well with other pie doughs, and you can use without fear of cutting yourself, thanks to its built-in thumb guard. The Good Grips line features durable, nonslip, flexible handles on every product. Ergonomically designed to fit the palm comfortably, the pressure-absorbing, processed rubber handle puts less tension on the hands, while still providing an outstanding grip. Made from the same material as dishwasher gaskets, the handles are slip- proof, wet or dry, as well as dishwasher-safe. Good Grips products are moderately priced and have won the Tylenol/Arthritis Foundation Design Award. --Laurie Notaro

  • Serious, Big Pizza Cutter
This cutter is bigger, heavier, and sharper than most pizza cutters folks have in their kitchen drawer. Unlike the grocery store junk I was replacing with this, it cuts a pizza very well with much less effort. It feel heavy and well made in your hand. The bearing moves freely and smoothly. That said, there is a possible downside. Compared to that grocery store version, it is much BIGGER. It says 4" in the description - that's the size of the wheel. If you eyeball the wheel and add the handle you can see this is not small device. If you draw a bounding rectangle it's approximately 9 1/4 x 4 5/8 inches so you'll need a compartment a bit bigger than that. If you want a quality pizza cutter, you found it, but be sure you've a place to store it! ... show more

  • Very nice
I bought this four and a half months ago to replace my wobbly, poorly made pizza cutter. I wish I would have done it sooner. This pizza cutter is great. It's very sturdy, sharp and it makes cutting pizza and cheesy bread very easy. I kept the clear plastic cover that it came with and I've never been happier that I did. There is no other case/cover for the blade, Oxo doesn't sell one. I guess you could 3D print one, but that's a lot of work. The very thin, plastic cover isn't ideal, nor is it easy to put on but it's the only thing that covers the sharp blade. ... show more

  • Thisi oe works.
We had a flimsy roller pizza cutter for a long time, and finally got tired of it not working properly. Then we spotted this one. We've never been disappointed with OXO products in the past and this cutter is no exception. One thing we like is the size of the cutting wheel. Anything smaller makes it hard to cut the pizza, and anything bigger takes up too much room in the kitchen tool drawer. Gotta be careful when cleaning this, as the wheel is sharp..... and it's supposed to be to get the job done. We like that his is solidly made... no wheel wobble like the cheapos. Five stars for sure. ... show more

  • Has been cutting slices for 8 years now.
I've purchased several pizza cutters over the years and they all have become useless one way or the other. This is the only cutter to has lasted more than 1 year; I purchased this one in December of 2009! The blade is 4 inches in diameter and made of stainless steel. It is a large blade that easily and quickly cuts through even the thickest of the deep dish pizza crusts! The blade still spins smoothly with no sign of wobble. The only maintenance I've performed on it is sharpening it once or twice a year. There is no signs of rust on any of the metal parts and the rubber grip/handle remains intact and pliable after many cycles in the dishwasher. For an 8 year old piece of cutlery that has cut dozens of slices I'd say it's holding up extremely well and the manufacturer has produced a quality tool for anyone who enjoys pizza. Well worth the cost here on Amazon. ... show more

  • Love our OXO tools and gadgets!
I had lost my pizza cutter, we kept looking for it and couldn't find it so I caved and just got a new one. The old one was getting dull it seemed anyway. This one is slightly larger which for us is a bit of a caveat, we use small gluten free square pizza crusts usually by kinnikinnick so this can be a bit big for our needs, I'd love one about 3/4 this size to be honest. BUT with that said it's still an excellent pizza cutter and works great, has a great weight to it to help cut through those thick crusts and the grip of the handle is helpful and comfortable to me and it does make a difference for me. The funny thing is that also not long after our toaster oven died and we had to get a new one. Lo and behold we found the pizza cutter UNDER the toaster oven! DOH! ok so editing my review and dropping a star. As much as I LOVE OXO and this is a great tool, it is just TOO BIG for us and I had to go find a smaller one. We don't make full size pizzas and so this is just too much. If they could make a "mini" version of this like their mini spatula that I also LOVE it would be awesome! Like honestly about 1/2-1/3 of the size of this. something small for the little GF pizzas and sandwiches and wraps we can slice would be nice and not need a big monster like this. However if you make lots of full sized pizzas then you will love this for a long time to come. Just for me it is too big really is my issue. ... show more

  • Great and Very Sharp Oxo Pizza Cutter - Works Very Well - Could Use a Real Blade Guard
For years, we've used a similar but plastic-bladed Oxo pizza cutter that finally wore out. We loved it but we're looking for a more durable replacement. This is it! It's very sharp, good feel handling it as with all Oxo products, and it seems durable enough to last several lifetimes. But be careful with it! I misplaced it on my kitchen chopping block, accidentally knocked it to the floor by carelessly moving something else and getting a domino effect. It landed blade-first on part of the island counter base board and deftly took a little chip out of the wood (glad it wasn't my toes, being barefoot in the summer a few weeks ago). I saved the flimsy plastic blade cover as a sheath. Oxo would do well to provide a more permanent, dishwasher-safe blade guard with the device. Another good thing about the cutter is that unlike our previous different model Oxo cutter, it doesn't accumulate water in the handle if run through the dishwasher standing handle down in the utensil rack. I highly recommend this pizza cutter! ... show more

  • Great Pizza Cutter
I have used multiple pizza cutters and this one works great. Fits in my big hands nicely and cuts well. After reading many reviews I thought I would give Checkered Chef Pizza Cutter Sharp Rocker Blade sold on Amazon a try so I purchased one and don't like it at all. It is just frustratingly hard to put enough pressure on the rocker blade for me to cut a crisp pizza easily and it is often shorter than the pizza I am cutting. With a wheel pizza cutter I just bang it down on the edge of the crust enough to get through it and roll across the pizza with ease. Many pizza restaurants use a wheel cutter or a very long heavy chef type knife to get straight quick cuts, but the pizza wheel cutter is less hassle for an occasional pizza slicing at home. When I order pizza for delivery or pick up I usually order it uncut because it stays warmer. In any case, I am very happy with this cutter. ... show more
