Overall, this is a great pizza peel. The aluminum is really thin, but there are some rectangles stamped in to make it less floppy for those heavy pies. Thin is great to easily scoop your pizza up off that stone. However, it's not exactly the easiest to use. The handle is really big and doesn't fit in your hand very well. Also, it comes with a bolt and knob to mount the handle and it seems like you should be able to loosen the knob to fold the handle. Not so easy unless you have a wrench. I ended up opening up the hole a little to make the bolt captive and the knob is now under the handle. Now that the bolt doesn't spin, I can tighten/loosen the knob with no tools and rotate the handle for storage. ... show more

This fit our needs perfectly mi looked as several higher priced brands / peels but just couldn’t justify the 50-100% cost increase for something that would do the exact same thing. Love how the handle spins around for compact storage and the peel design prevents sticking due to ribs. Bottom line - you can’t go wrong with this peel! ... show more

I bought this with the Cuisinart pizza oven several months ago. We use it at least 2x weekly and it has been durable so far. It isn't super heavy and is easy to carry. The size perfectly fits a 12" pizza and the Cuisinart pizza oven opening. It is fairly easy to use - we use it for both putting in and taking out pizzas. It requires a fair amount of flour to get the pizza off into the oven, but removing or turning the pizza is super easy with it. It is functional and a good deal for the price compared to other options. I find it easiest to roll out my pizza, flour this, place the crust on, and then top it. I am considering buying a second one for the times we make multiple pizzas. ... show more

Happy with this. I do wish it had a better depiction of how to screw it together -- what order do the washers go in? The handle must go on top in order to make the turn and shorten the peel for storage. Happy with it. I just have to remember to be careful carrying it from the grill to the table, lol. Once baked, the pizza WILL slide off. I don't think I'd like it to have edges on the sides, however -- more surface to work with. ... show more

    • Not great for loading thinner crust pizzas
The raised ridges negate the effectiveness of a sprinkle of corn meal to slide the raw dough off onto the stone without sticking, It sticks to the ridges. It's great for getting the pizza off the stone and out of the household 550F oven. It stores well and cleans easily, the shorter handle is fine for a regular oven in a smaller kitchen. I imagine if you like a thicker stiffer dough for your crust it would be okay for loading, but for me its strictly getting the finished pizza out. I kind of regret the purchase but not enough to ask someone to drive to a UPS store to return it for me or pay to have it picked up. ... show more
