Description

Take the pain out of opening cans with the OXO Good Grips Soft-Handled Can Opener. Large, cushioned handles absorb pressure while an oversized knob turns the stainless steel cutting wheel with ease. The Opener also features a built-in bottle opener. Hand wash recommended. With its large, easy-to-operate turning-mechanism, this can opener does its job with minimal effort on your part. The nonslip, oversize handles fit the hand comfortably, absorbing the tension of keeping the can opener in place while the stainless-steel teeth bite into the lid with the ease of a great white shark. The built-in bottle opener, sturdy construction, and ease of use make the Good Grips can opener one of the best on the market. The Good Grips line features durable, flexible handles on every product. Ergonomically designed to fit the palm comfortably, the pressure-absorbing processed-rubber handles reduce stress on the hands while providing an outstanding grip. Made from the same material dishwasher gaskets are constructed of, the handles are slip- proof, wet or dry, and dishwasher-safe. Good Grips products are moderately priced and have won the Tylenol/Arthritis Foundation Design Award. --Laurie Notaro

    • The Reliable Gold Standard for Kitchens!
Color: Black Size: Manual
The OXO Good Grips Soft-Handled Manual Can Opener is widely considered the benchmark for manual openers. It focuses on ergonomics and smooth operation, making a mundane task significantly easier on the hands. What I liked: Comfortable Grip: The oversized, cushioned handles absorb pressure and provide a non-slip grip, even if your hands are wet. This is a major plus for anyone with limited hand strength. Smooth Turning: The large, easy-to-turn knob rotates effortlessly. You don't have to fight against the can to get a clean cut. Sharp Cutting Wheel: Made of hardened stainless steel, the cutting wheel punctures easily and glides through lids without leaving jagged edges or skipping. Built-in Bottle Opener: It includes a handy integrated pop-top bottle opener on the top, making it a versatile 2-in-1 tool for your kitchen drawer. Durability: Unlike cheap supermarket versions, this opener is built to last for years of daily use without the gears slipping or the blade dulling prematurely. This is a classic "buy it once" kitchen tool. It’s simple, effective, and remarkably comfortable to use. ... show more

    • Good Can Opener, Durable, Easy to Use
Color: Black Size: Manual
This is a good can opener. I am replacing the one I had used the last 2 years without any problems. The cutting wheel still cut perfectly, the mechanical parts still functioned perfectly but my young Cur Hound got hold of it and chewed up the handles so I bought 2 new ones yo replace the old one. I use this opener exclusively and I am a senior citizen and it is easy to operate even on tge days my hands aren't as nimble as they once were. ... show more

    • Easy to use and comfortable
Color: Black Size: Manual
This manual can opener is excellent. The handle is very comfortable to hold, and it opens cans smoothly without much effort. It’s sturdy and high-quality, just like other OXO products I’ve used. Highly recommend.

    • Soft Handles Pick Up Water
Color: Black Size: Manual
When it comes to opening cans, it is all I could ask. If that were all that mattered, I would give it five stars. But I finally gave up and removed the Soft Handles. I put it in the dishwasher after use, and water kept getting into the handles, and leaking out at annoying times. Without the soft grip, the handles are not so comfortable, but they are good enough, and the functioning of the opener is unchanged. ... show more

    • Works well
Color: Black Size: Manual
I had a cheaper can opener before this. It didn’t cut into the cans well, and to open a short can I had to raise it up on top of another just so the opener would work on it. I decided to order this OXO one. OXO is a dependable brand, it works very well, and I’m very happy with it. A big improvement!

    • Great opener. Smooth.
Color: Black Size: Manual
WOW! where have you been for the last 5 years my opener has been sticking and skipping??? I actually bought 2 brands to compare and both are great. Love the heavy handle and grip. I have never been a fan of countertop openers taking up real estate for occasional use. I actually started looking twice over the years and got sidetracked..... ... show more

    • works great, super value
Color: Black Size: Manual
It does exactly what you want it to do - open a can easily and comfortably. It even comes with a replacement cutting wheel. The handles are comfortable. The twist knob is big enough to easily open any can. It's a simple device but it's nice when even simple things are well made and work well.
