This is a great no stick pan & at least as far as I can tell doesn’t have the same chemicals as other no stick pans which I opted to not get because I don’t want unhealthy chemicals in my pan. Things like that just tend to not work out well in the long run in my opinion. Research it yourself though in case I’m wrong or missed something. I put a touch of Extra Virgin Olive Oil on the pan, heat it up to a 3 or 4 on my stove then crack a few eggs on it sunny side up & they don’t stick. Eggs are my kind of litmus test for how well a no stick pan works. Scrambled probably gives a better indication, I just don’t really make em that way. As far as no stick pans go it seems like they have to be replaced every so often because they’ll eventually lose their no stick factor. That’s another reason I like this because I don’t want to spend a lot of money on pans I have to replace every so often. To make the no stick factor last longer, I recommend to wash it by hand. Personally I just rinse it with the spray nozzle in my sink or if I let it sit or think I need it I just use some soap & a towel or paper towel lol. ... show more

    • Amazingly easy to clean

For years, my husband and I have daily cooked with a set of Oxo non-stick coated skillets -- 8" and 10" -- replacing them every two or three years when the surface began to degrade. The price was modest so it wasn't much of a hardship to replace them regularly. But recently we discovered these Oxo ceramic hard-anodized skillets -- 8", 10", and 12" -- and we will never return to the old, coated ones again. These pans are amazingly easy to clean. No matter what we cook, the foods slide off this surface -- cheese, eggs, fried fish, fried rice, browned meats, whatever! A quick swish with a soapy dish rag and the pan is clean. A quick swipe with a dry dishcloth and the pan is ready to return to storage or to be used again. An added advantage is that the pans can go into a 430 oven for final cooking, if needed. When we bought the 12" , we got the one with the glass lid because [surprisingly] it was cheaper to buy it with the lid than the pan alone [go figure]. I read all the reviews and I see where some buyers lament that the surface on these pans also deteriorates over time. We don't put these pans in the dishwasher because, frankly, there's no need so perhaps the ceramic surface will last a bit longer for us. No matter. The ease of use and cleaning is enough to insure that we'll use these pans as long as we can and replace them with the same, if/when needed. We can highly recommend. ... show more

So far we just got them to day but they do look and feel much better than the other sets we have looked at. Thought we had one but we use it for one small cook. They were heavier than it looks and hat to say but was not that much of non stick and we sent them back. Thanks Amazon

My 20 year old (at least) Calphalon non-stick started to degrade so I bought this to replace it. It is far superior. Absolutely wonderfully non-stick. Easy to clean and nice see-through lid so you can track the progress of your food without lifting the lid. I have since bought the smaller versions to replace other Calphalon fry pans. Only downside (although I don't find it so) is that the food will not brown as intensely as it might in other nonstick pans. ... show more

    • What happened?

I’ve bought 7 of the original OXO 12” pro nonstick TEFLON pans over the years (as advised by ATK) and have loved them. Then, in July 2025 I bought two more, only to discover that they changed to a ceramic coating theta failed immediately. The first pan died within a month while cooking pancakes. They stuck like they were glued in and, after a long soak and cleaning, rendered the pan unusable. Dismayed, I contacted OXO via their website only to receive an email response saying the at I needed to contact “The Cookware Company” product support. After contacting them I received a detailed form letter with instructions for cleaning the pans and essentially blaming it on me and the cleanliness of my pans! I should note that, since I’ve owned so many of the OXO non-stick pans that I’ve been using OXO cleaning brushes for years just to keep my pans safe. Their response was an insult to a loyal customer and (as expected) did not prove to fix the issue. Since I bought two on a Prime Day sale and specter them to last a long time, I don’t expect them o have to use my second one for months but I went ahead and started using it. Sure enough, it has suffered the same fate. The new models are absolute garbage and to be avoided at all cost. And, since I now know they do not honor their warranty (cause you gotta know they are aware the new surface is worthless), what’s the point of continuing to purchase their products? I am incredibly disappointed by both the product and OXO’s weak and useless response. And so I ask again, “What happened to OXO?” ... show more

After using this pan for about six months, I can give my opinion. The durability seems to be as advertised, a very tough surface indeed. Holds heat fairly well for an inexpensive pan. My only criticism would be the lack of its non-stick capabilities. I't not all that bad and allows for easy clean up, but it's only a kinda non-stick pan. I can live with it, though. I think there's a compromise: you can get durability or non-stick, but not both, with our current technologies. As far as the surface being safe, who knows? I hope for the best. ... show more
