    • Not easy to clean, but works great!!
I never knew I needed one of these until I used it and I'm so happy I have it. It is super easy to use and distributes flour really well. A fine mesh sieve was always too much. It's not the easiest to clean, but maybe that was my own fault. I got it wet so the flour inside formed a paste which was hard to clean because the ball doesn't come apart so you have to twist one side then the next. But, then when you twist it, it just smeared some of the paste. Again, probably my fault. Don't get this thing wet in the middle of your baking. And make sure all the flour is empty before soaking it. That's my tip! Recommended! ... show more

I was always misplacing my sifter so I got this to sift powdered sugar for the bottom of my baking pans, It is small and I can put it in a drawer and have it ready. Very handy tool. I like it.

    • Great for evenly dusting pans in damp environments
I admit that I got this due to visions of perfectly decorated coffee cups and sugared papers. I discovered it was far more useful than that. I learned to bake in a dry climate, and routinely dust pans with flour and cocoa powder to reduce the cake sticking to the pan. In my new damp climate, my method of grabbing a small handful of powder, tossing it in the pan and shaking the pan did not work half as well as I thought it should. Using this duster made the cocoa powder distribute the way I thought it should be. I'm delighted. It cleans up perfectly in the dish washer. ... show more

Ok, maybe not that extreme, but close! Just came across this while purchasing other baking items. I love OXO products so figured why not? I was so tired of dipping my hands into the flour and trying to be all chefy sprinkling flour. This is just perfect for that. Just open it up with a twist of the handle, dip it into the flour, close with a twist, and proceed to sprinkle. It's amazing for such a simple gadget.
