If you bake bread, you need this. I bake a lot of bread in my slow cooker and used a lot of parchment paper. This is a reusable sling and saves me a lot of money. Removing the bread from the slow cooker is easy with the slings. I like having more than one so that I can use both my slow cookers at the same time. I can't imagine going back to parchment paper!

These bread slings are a MUST for making sourdough bread easier! I have two of these, made of silicone. I bake my bread at 450 degrees and have no trouble with these at all - had them for a couple months, used two times a week or so. They absolutely make it easier to maneuver the dough into the dutch oven and to lift the bread safely out of the dutch oven when done baking. It is safer and it is very helpful for clean up of the dutch oven as well. I like to bake with berry inclusions, so I also add parchment paper over my sling for fastest clean up.

I recently tried out a silicone bread sling for use in my Dutch oven, and it proved to be quite a helpful tool for baking bread. The sling is designed to lift bread dough in and out of the Dutch oven easily, which is particularly useful for those sticky, high-hydration doughs. The flexibility and non-stick nature of silicone make the process seamless and mess-free, significantly simplifying the bread-making process. The silicone material is generally praised for its heat resistance and durability in kitchen applications. However, it's important to note that while silicone can withstand a variety of temperatures, it typically has a melting point around 500°F (260°C). This is generally below the maximum temperature of most household ovens, which can reach up to 550°F (288°C). Therefore, while using this silicone sling, it's crucial to be mindful of your oven's settings to avoid any risk of melting the product. This limitation is somewhat significant because many bread recipes, especially those involving pre-heated Dutch ovens, recommend baking temperatures that can flirt with or exceed the upper limits of the sling's heat tolerance. These are a great alternative to the parchment paper. These are easy to clean and reuse. Makes getting your cooked bread out of the pan much easier and they don’t rip like the parchment paper.

I purchased these silicone bread lifts for my new hobby of sourdough baking. The product arrived quickly, the material is thick and just what I expected. They work really well to lift the hot bread out of the dough oven. The come in two different shapes, round and oblong. I don't think the shape really matters all that much as they are both roughly the same size. I would but again.

Got this when I ordered a Beginners guide for sourdough making. I perfer this over using parchment paper! easy to handle. Does not get stickiness. Easy to clear. You get two, which is a great value. Fits perfect in my dutch ovens.
