I am so glad I bought these silicone liners for my Dutch oven for my sourdough loaves. Parchment paper is messy and can burn. The silicone liner is much more cost effective, as it never needs to be replaced. It cleans up easily, too. I was able to trim the liner to the exact shape of my pan.

The flexibility and non-stick nature of silicone make the process seamless and mess-free, significantly simplifying the bread-making process. The silicone material is generally praised for its heat resistance and durability in kitchen applications. However, it's important to note that while silicone can withstand a variety of temperatures, it typically has a melting point around 500°F (260°C). This is generally below the maximum temperature of most household ovens, which can reach up to 550°F (288°C). Therefore, while using this silicone sling, it's crucial to be mindful of your oven's settings to avoid any risk of melting the product. I’ve been making sourdough bread and using parchment paper, which burns and then tears when you try to lift the loaf out. This works perfectly to place the dough in the Dutch oven and to take it out. Safer as well as less chance to get burned.
