I was really impressed with overall quality of the thermal pads despite during delivery they probably dropped it so hard and one of the corners on 2mm pad was gone. Anyway replaced them OWL Tree on my PNY 3070 which was struggling and heating up like a fireplace even at idle stock pads from PNY are terrible none of them were doing it's job from the beginning, I was a little hesitant since I never changed any thermal pads or disassembled the graphics card before, but after I find out that all pads are 1mm and watched couple videos I swapped pads and now card is idling at 20c which is fantastic. Before I have 50 in idle and after light gaming card was struggling and sitting in low 90c so I wasn't able to really use it before and needed to change thermal pads badly. ... show more

You get a lot of thermal pad for your money here. Buy this one if you are redoing a laptop, motherboard or gpus vrms. Make note of what sizes need to go where and do one size at a time. Works great. Way better than that goop they usually use.

  • Great Value, But Not Traditional "Thermal Pads"
This product is a paste - not a pad - and it does make that clear in its description although it still is referred to as a "thermal pad". It's a paste in pad form, I guess. Transfers heat well, adheres to parts well and has good compressibility as would be expected of a paste. I wouldn't recommend it for reuse - as a paste there is really no rebound - once it is compressed that is pretty much where it is going to stay. ... show more

  • perfect for graphics cards
Bought used 3070 online and temps were too high. Since finding exact measurements for thermal pads for graphics cards online is hit or miss, I had trouble finding the sizes I needed to order. I wasted almost $40 on that expensive brand and ended up getting too thick of pads and making my temps worse. Ordered this pack thats larger than the name brand and comes with 3 sizes. I only used the 1 and the 1.5 for my Asus Dual OC RTX 3070 and there was plenty left over. Temps were hitting 88 and now they dont go above 72, hot spot dropped from 105 to 79. Used it with Noctua H2 paste and couldn't be happier with results. The clear plastic side took some patience peeling it off but I managed. ... show more

I'm planning on re-pasting some GPU's. I've done it before. I got these on a whim not thinking it through. I later discovered that while the thickness and temperature is important, so is the Shore Hardness of the thermal pads and I couldn't find the SH specs on these pads so I haven't used them.

  • Solid performance and a great value.
(1/2023 Edit to say that a year later I'm still happy. A few months ago I bought a cheap ROG Strix RX580 to play around with. The thermals weren't bad but I decided to repaste and repad the card anyway and I saw similar temperature drops. I don't run an OC daily but it did seem to OC a little better after heat soaking with Furmark and then running Heaven. Scored about 25pt higher in Heaven than before the pads/paste.) I bought these to upgrade my RX 580 and they really seem to work well. I took some thermal readings under gaming loads, Furmark and Heaven and then repasted the GPU die with Artic MX-4 and took the same readings again after about a week of use. Following those readings I replaced the pads with these Owltree pads and repasted with MX-4 again. I also added a pad between the back of the GPU die and the metal backplate and comparing thermal images of the backplate with and without the pads shows much better heat transfer in both stock and custom locations. Under Furmark the Max temp with stock pads was 71.5C, average 69C and with the Owltree pads max was 64C and average was 63C, so significantly lower and less variation. (Ambient air was 65F +/- 1 degree for all tests) My only criticism and warning is to expect wasted material with the .5mm thickness. It's a real pain to work with and the biggest problem is getting it to release from the clear backing film without ripping. That said, you get 100x100mm of material so there's plenty of extra. ... show more
