  • Very high quality in every aspect
A product-improved version of the NT-H1. Easy to apply, easy to remove, non-conductive, and very high performance. This is up there with Grizzly Kryonaut and Gelid GC-Extreme in testing. To get anything measurably better you would need to go with conductive liquid metal thermal mediums like Conductonaut. Those are much higher risk of failure and much more difficult to work with, not worth it in anything beyond extreme overclocking applications. Can't give a temp comparison because I didn't use the stuff they sent with my Contac Silent 12 heatsink, immediately cleaned and applied the NT-H2 to it. Under a 20min stress test it never went above 70c with default fan curve, impressive for a quiet heatsink meant to keep decibels low more than keeping temps down while gaming. Packaging is very nice, you have the option of buying the larger 10g tube slightly cheaper per gram if you plan on building a few more systems or doing GPU's, the wipes are convenient (not collectibles, go ahead and use them guilt-free) and even the common complaint about price on Noctua products is not really valid. This stuff costs the same as Arctic MX-4 at the moment just under $13 for a 3.5g tube, Grizzly Kryonaut costs under $10 for a 1g tube and Gelid GC-Extreme at $14.52 for a 3.5g tube. All of these products are likely going to be within 1 degree C of the other according to multiple comparison reviews and that is within the margin of error in both measurement and user application. I added everything up and the NT-H2 came out on top as a choice for me. It's just a good deal without sacrificing any quality for your build. Highly recommended for the combination of high performance, reasonable pricing, extras in the package and ease of use. The fact it is Noctua also adds a little of that "cool factor" for anyone who tingles when they hear that brand name. ... show more

  • The Best Value Thermal Paste
This is probably one of the best deals in terms of thermal pastes that you can buy right now. Not only do you get 3.5g of thermal paste for the cost (which is at least 5-8 applications worth of paste on average), but it also comes with 3 high quality, large cleaning wipes. Additionally, for the value you are getting, this thermal paste is also nearly as performant as some of the top thermal paste brands such as Thermal Grizzly's Kryonaut. The paste itself is nothing special appearance wise as it's your standard silvery thermal paste you all know and love, but it is also fortunately non-conductive as well as having no necessary cure time. This is great as it means it won't short out your CPU if it spills over the sides (which is a common occurrence on the new AM5 Ryzen heat spreader design) and it means the paste will be at full effectiveness right out of the gate without any waiting or paste burn-in time. All you have to do is apply the paste, mount the cooler, and that's it. No worries about shorts or high temps with this paste (as long as you still have an adequate heatsink that is). Regardless, I was getting some impressive 5-8°C temperature reductions compared to the MX-4 paste I had been using previously. This is especially important as I am using a Ryzen 7700X with this paste, which in itself already gets really hot regardless of the cooler used. I won't go into detail about the coolers as this review is about the paste itself, and the temperature reductions were similar on each cooler I tried when compared to the MX-4. The more interesting part of this review, however, is when I compared it to Kryonaut. This paste and Kryonaut are incredibly close in temp performance, usually with Kryonaut about 1-2°C cooler in some cases, but that's close enough for me to say that this NT-H2 paste has near equal performance to the much more costly Kryonaut paste. Overall, this is an incredibly high performing paste and an excellent value. For just a little more in cost compared to the base 1g kit of Kryonaut, you not only get nearly the same level of performance, but you also get 3.5x more thermal paste and 3 high quality cleaning wipes. In the end, I would highly recommend getting this thermal paste as I personally believe it to be the best "all-around" deal that is currently available. It meets all the standards that I have, and it's difficult for me to choose any other paste over this one unless you want to move up to liquid metal options. ... show more

  • Worked great. Used it on the Watercooled system. Heat transfer is very good.
I would recommend it to any potential buyers. The thermal paste works well. I use it on a 120mm single radiator watercooled system handing a 125W intel 2011 6-core CPU overclocked to 4.2GHz keeping it under 65C under full load for one hour at 68F ambient temps.

  • Reasonable price, easy to apply, lots of extra for future
This paste works great with my 7800X3D and 5 year old Corsair Hydro AIO. Idle's around 36c which is as good as it gets for this CPU. I didn't do anything fancy, just applied a pea size of the goop and attached heatsink.

  • Pricey, but does what it needs to do.
I've built lots of computers over the last 5 years. I have tried a lot of different thermal pastes. This one is pretty similar when it comes to the application. But the actual compound is great. I have had thicker and thinner mixes. This one was just right, didn't feel like I needed to spread it out. My temps have been better than ever. Can't give this product all of the credit, but it doesn't hold anything back. Great product, good amount, shouldn't need to buy anymore for a while. ... show more

  • Good directions
Have applied to three computers and have plenty left. Directions show how to apply on different size CPUs.

  • PC Was Hot Now It's Not
My 2 year old PC was starting to creep up into 90 degree territory and I was confused as to why. I pulled off my cooler and took a peek at the underside to see the original paste all cracked and crusty. Got it cleaned up and put on some of this stuff. Nice application, no spillover, and temps dropped back down to normal on load. Tons of product in the tube if you need a few CPUs or wanna practice your perfect application method. ... show more

  • Only thermal paste I use!!
Noctua is awesome thermal paste. I originally had the NT-H1, which is excellent paste if you are on a budget. I use the NT-H2 paste on a 14900K. I follow the install video that Noctua put out for this paste. Even though it seems like a little on cpu, trust me it works. You never want to put too much on your cpu. Also this paste is very easy to spread, if you want too. Alot of paste out there is like dry paste. This paste is easy flowing like regular greese. ... show more
