The consistency is slightly thicker than average, which helps it stay in place during application, especially on vertical surfaces or uneven heatsinks. It spreads best using either the pea-sized dot method or a very light pressure spread—no need to cover edge to edge manually, as the paste distributes evenly once pressure is applied. The included applicator is optional but useful for more controlled setups. In terms of results, thermal performance has been solid across the board. Under load, temperatures stayed consistently lower, and fan ramping was reduced as a result. I'm no computer guru, but this paste has made a difference. I have an old computer (2012) and realized the heat sink had never been changed or had the paste replaced, and I was regularly overheating to 91C+, so I ordered this paste so I could reseat it. The syringe was a lot smaller than I expected, but it only took about half to get the coverage I needed. It stuck to the spatula more than I would have liked during spreading, but I used a second tool to scrape off the spatula and apply the remaining paste to the CPU. I don't know if it's the paste or the slightly less old heat sink (2014), but now I'm running around 32-35C average and around 65C under heavy load, so I'm really happy. In retrospect, it seems a bit expensive for how little you get, but we'll see how well it lasts over time. ... show more

This product works. I replaced my old Thermal Past (HY880) with this Kryonaut. I am seeing CPU temperature running about 5c lower on daily average basis. I used the center dot method to apply the past. Dell 8960 with i9 14900. It is expensive compared to other. I will buy it again.
