Description

ARCTIC, a leading manufacturer of PC coolers and components, initiated and continues to shape the trend towards quiet cooling systems. Visit the Store Visit the Store Visit the Store Visit the Store Visit the Store The surfaces of processor chips and cooler floors are covered with microscopic dents; ARCTIC‘s MX-4 thermal paste is composed of carbon microparticles which fill these cavities. This leads to extremely high thermal conductivity, ensuring that heat is dissipated quickly and efficiently from the CPU or GPU. With its outstanding performance, the MX-4 is not only an excellent choice for overclockers and enthusiasts, but also for other sapplications that require thermal transmission. Thanks to its consistency, MX-4 is easy to apply, even for beginners. The video in the picture gallery demonstrates the application technique to avoid air pockets between processors and coolers. In contrast to pastes based on metal oxides or liquid metal, ARCTIC’s MX-4 is metal-free and not electrically conductive. This eliminates the risk of short circuiting, and eliminates the need to worry about corrosion damage to the radiator floor caused by liquid metal. To ensure that your paste is genuine, there is the ARCTIC Authenticity Check. This allows every product to be reliably verified. A counterfeit offers neither the performance nor the durability of the original ARCTIC pastes. • Trusted Thermal Paste with Noticeable Temp Drop and Long‑Term Reliability
Size: MX-4
I picked up this Arctic MX‑4 thermal paste because I ran out of paste on my current CPU and wanted something high quality to get my temperatures back down and make sure my cooler was properly seated. I do a lot of PC building for gaming, content creation, and occasional 3D work, so good thermal management is important to me. Even though it’s sitting in my PC parts bag right now waiting for my next re-paste, Arctic MX‑4 has a strong reputation in the enthusiast community as one of the go‑to thermal compounds for everyday builds. It’s composed of carbon microparticles designed to fill microscopic gaps between the CPU and cooler to improve heat transfer more efficiently than stock paste or cheap alternatives. In my system before I retired it, my CPU temps under load were around 55–60 °C, with idle temps around 38–42 °C—and that was with strong airflow around the cooler and stock paste that had seen better days. Based on typical results people get with MX‑4, switching to this paste often results in a noticeable drop in temps, around 3–5 °C, versus older or stock thermal compounds, which matches what many builders report when they upgrade. One of the things I like about MX‑4 is that it’s non‑electrically conductive, so there’s no risk of shorting anything while applying it. It’s also known for long‑term stability, Arctic advertises years of performance without needing to reapply, which gives me confidence that once I put it on, it’ll stay effective through several builds or CPU cooler swaps. Application was easy with the included spatula, and I appreciate that it’s a trusted, tried‑and‑true paste that many builders still use instead of stock stuff. If you’re upgrading your cooler or just need to refresh your TIM, this is a solid, affordable pick that’ll help keep temps in check without being overkill. ... show more

  • Noticeable Temperature Drop After Installation Noticeable Temperature Drop After Installation
Size: MX-4
I recently applied the ARCTIC MX-4 thermal paste to my CPU, and the results were impressive. Before replacing the old thermal paste, my CPU temperatures would regularly reach around 65°C during normal workloads. After applying the MX-4, temperatures now stay below 52°C under the same conditions. The paste was easy to apply, and the included spatula made the process simple and clean. I also appreciate that it's non-conductive, which gives extra peace of mind during installation. Overall, this thermal paste delivered a noticeable improvement in cooling performance and helped lower my CPU temperatures by more than 10°C. If you're looking for a reliable, high-quality thermal paste for your CPU or GPU, I would definitely recommend the ARCTIC MX-4. ... show more

  • As good as it's gets and priced very fairly! As good as it's gets and priced very fairly!
Size: MX-4
As good as the product that cost 8x (yall know what brand I'm speaking of) I have used both on my very high powered gaming setup and this Artic MX4 is as good as any I've used. Enough in the tube for 4-5 applications and the best part is the price to performance. This stuff lowers my hot running I9 14900kf that's over clocked to the max running a quality 360mm AIO down 7 to 9°C over most products and matches the temps of the 40 dollar a tube stuff (you know the brand). The viscosity makes application super easy with just 5 dots and let the pressure from the AIO heat sink spread it out and no worries of air pockets. It holds it's viscosity well and doesn't dry out like a lot of pastes do and that's a huge bonus as it lasts a very long time. The thermal conductivity of this stuff is top tier and competes with the best but at a much more realistic price point. I wouldn't trust a 8k dollar machine to a poor product, I have used the best that cost a ridiculous price and checked it head to head VS this product and this product competes perfectly with it, temps are within +-1°c between this and the best product on the market. With my cooling setup and the infamous hot running I9 14900kf I have no problem maintaining sub 70c temps with higher loads on the system and it's really hard to get it to break 80c with this paste, you have to really be pushing the system HARD. with other budget priced pastes it's easy to get 80C without even pushing it all that hard but this stuff transmits the heat so well over to the cooler that it's just hard to get the temps up. Dollar for dollar easily the best thermal paste on the market. With the best product being around 45 a tube and this being 6 for the same amount of weight and having a +-1c difference between the pastes you have to be a kook to buy the expensive stuff as this performs IDENTICALLY TO IT. Do yourself a favor and save 40 bucks and get this. A 1g tube of the other stuff is 13 bucks and a 4g tube about 45 and here you get 4g of a equal performance product for 6-7bucks lol it's a total no brainer! ... show more

  • Arctic reins supreme!
Size: MX-4
This product is awesome! I've had thermal paste before so this one does the job just like any other. It applies efficiently. It is the perfect size for at least two to three CPUs. It did not leak at all and worked for my computer! However, the real story here is the spatula. It was perfect for scraping off my old thermal paste, and helped spread the new one when I was putting it on. Overall 10 out of 10. Will be buying again when I need it ... show more

  • When you want cooler & smoother and not to re-paste for the next 7-8+ years! When you want cooler & smoother and not to re-paste for the next 7-8+ years!
Size: MX-4
I’m like an old dog with her favorite bone, I still believe the MX-4 is the best thermal paste on the market for the price when dealing with older powered cpus/gpus and overheating issues. I have been using MX-4 for about the past 10+ years. Both formula and performance has not changed throughout the years making it a reliable go-to thermal (knock-on-wood) to depend on. The syringe applicator makes it easy to control the amount & spread when using your fingers to cover the chip. If you don’t trust your fingers or don’t want to get them dirty, a small blue spatula (usually wedged into the bottom of the box) is included for your convenience. Should you make a mess and leak a little, there’s no need to stress since it’s metal free or non-conductive, non-capacitive and won’t cause a short circuit. The paste has a medium viscosity that’s not too thick or thin, but more like creamy peanut butter or nutella. It’s easy to apply and you’ll notice an almost immediate improvement in lower load temperatures and performance that will last for at least 7-8 years. You should be able to get 3-4 applications from the syringe. The stuff is also durable and has a long shelf life of best before date of Jan 2032, so it won’t degrade or go bad anytime soon. If you’re like me, you’ll need to buy another tube for the next time only because you lost/misplaced the open one. LOL! Overall, it does what it’s suppose to do and does it reasonably well. It’s cheap, readily available, has a loyal fan base due to its long lasting effectiveness & cooling performance, and price/performance ratio. German engineered. 5 Stars! ... show more

  • My CPU was basically a forge in the pits of Mordor until this arrived
Size: MX-4
I’m pretty sure my computer was about five minutes away from achieving nuclear fission and taking out the entire tri-state area before I applied this ARCTIC MX-4 Thermal Paste. My fans were screaming so loud I thought a Boeing 747 was attempting a vertical takeoff in my living room, and the heat radiating off the case was enough to slow-cook a brisket. I finally cracked the thing open, scraped off the crusty, dried-out grey sadness that the manufacturer called "thermal interface material," and laid down a pea-sized glob of this minty-looking salvation. The included spatula made me feel like a Michelin-star chef plating a delicate garnish, but instead of a garnish, it’s a high-performance chemical barrier against my own technical incompetence. The moment I booted it back up, the silence was actually terrifying. I thought I’d killed it. I thought I’d finally sent my motherboard to the great silicon junkyard in the sky. But no, the temperatures had just plummeted so hard that my CPU is now practically running on liquid nitrogen and pure spite. I went from "imminent house fire" to "sub-zero chill" in the time it took to tighten four screws. If you’re still using that stock gunk that came with your heat sink, you’re basically living a lie. Buy this tube, save your hardware, and stop living in fear of the blue screen of death. It’s cheap, it’s effective, and it’s the only reason I’m not currently standing in a pile of charred electronics. ... show more
