I was tired of thermal paste pumping out and worrying about when to re-apply it. I am using this to cool a 7800X3D with a contact frame. It was easy to install with plastic tweezers. Remove the protective plastic off with a plastic tweezer. Place the box right next to the CPU and slide the pad off using the tweezers onto the CPU. If you are concerned about it moving, you can apply a miniscule amount of thermal paste in the far corners of the CPU just to hold it in place with placing the cooler on top. It is also recommended to secure the cooler to the CPU with high pressure. I would recommend you have a contact frame installed to prevent any flexing. I used a drill with a screwdriver bit (not at full torque of course; gentle pull the trigger) to finish off the AIO cooler screws very tightly. 38-40C at idle. Excellent. The price is worth it for never having to worry about maintaining thermal paste again if you intend on owning your system for a long time. ... show more

Works just as well as KPX/Kryonaut Extreme without the hassle. Perfect for laptops, Steam Decks, and anything that you can't easily open up. There's an issue with some 7900xtx cards that is not related to the AMD recall. It's a paste pump out issue. My card would run cool for 3 weeks, then climb to a 110* hotspot. I tried several pastes and even Hydronaut would almost completely migrate out. This pad has resolved the issue. Just be careful when installing as they can slip out of place. I ended up using a sliver of paste at the edges just to keep it centered. I also used quick dry nail polish on the circuitry immediately surrounding the die in case of slippage. Now, temps never go above 80* on my card, 7* cooler than a fresh Kryonaut application. ... show more

Tried multiple thermal pastes and even the liquid metal type on my old cpu. It has issues keep the pastes where they need to be for more than a week. This sheet worked better than everything else and did not drop off after a week.

These sheets are awesome, no more cleaning off dry thermal paste from the cpu and AIO, now just remove the sheet, and put it on the new CPU or AIO, easy peasy no mess, no fuss, no worries.

Super easy to install, use tweezers, take your time and line up your cooler right with proper mounting pressure. Works better than paste! And won’t fail. Electrically conductive so be carful!!

I used this for a lapped 7800x3d and a waterblock for a 4090 - the thermals are spectacular. The GPU, in a hot room, does not rise above 52 c under load. I love the fact that it is a dry component, so it should be good for years. Based on the look and packaging, I assumed this stuff is conductive, fragile, and looks to soak up finger grease fairly easily (but with such precision used to create it, this should not be a surprise). I used tweezers to apply (and used clean gloves, just in case I fumbled it). If you don't have steady hands, I'd probably recommend getting an AM5 shroud (I did). It protects the CPU and the surrounding areas. Purchasing an additional sheet for direct die cooling... Got the heat-spreader while I wait for the direct die waterblock - can't wait for that to be available. Cheers, Thermal Grizzly. Great stuff. ... show more

I expected this to work better than a normal thermal paste. It does not. It is going to be durable and it is reusable if you are careful handling it. It will last forever. The thermal induction is no better than a normal thermal compound. Same temperatures. I was hoping this would work well on my bare die 13900KS. It is not suitable for an overclocked CPU unless you are OK with overheating and thermal throttling. I went back to using liquid metal. It was not an acceptable solution for my application. ... show more
