Warm tips, as they say: Added a 1/4 cup water with a couple tablespoons of oil, cook at low heat; cooked my veggies in the same pot, some early, some later. You can roast a whole chicken in this thing with potaoes and all. It was a 115 degree heat index day, but my kitchen was still cool when cooking with this pot on stovetop. It doesn't radiate heat, goodbye oven. Swabbed rims of pot and lid with oil after washing to prevent rust. Saw a Le Creuset, exactly same thing at mall; over $500.00. Update 08/13/26: Just made a chuck roast on stove top; what can I say, it's just falling apart, but still very moist and juicy. So yeah, this thing rocks. Very beautiful kitchen tool. Looks well made, durable and functional; weighs a ton. Though I haven't tested it yet, I don't think there will be a problem. I've seen products at the mall similar to this costing many times more.

I bought this specifically for baking round breads. After several dozen loaves, I can say it works great and I couldn't be happier with it. It heats evenly and consistently gives me good oven spring, so I have no complaints about its performance for bread baking. I like that I don't have to worry so much about heat loss affecting the bake when I'm opening the oven door because the dutch oven preheats in the range and contains the heat even when its out for several minutes or I remove its lid briefly. I love the sort of celadon color, and I think the outside has developed a nice patina with use. I don't bother scrubbing the outside, so it has that nice used look while the inside stays super clean. Baking with parchment means cleanup is basically nonexistent. I appreciated that it came with a silicon trivet - which I use all the time now - but I thought the weensy pot holders were kinda silly and didn't keep them. I'm sure other users will like them and put them to good use. The lid has those little bumpy nubbins for basting which is great if you're using this for more than just bread, but I haven't used it for anything else because it's become my dedicated bread pot. It's still so pristine inside that I've been reluctant to mess with that, but maybe I'll make cinnamon rolls in it this weekend. You know, purely for research.

Love this Dutch oven. Never knew I needed one until I decided to start making sourdough! So went for the color and I saw someone on Instagram making sourdough and they were using Overmont. This one is so pretty. And it worked great! It’s cast iron covered in enamel and it’s cleans so easily and doesn’t stick. Thelkid has little bumps on it and I’m sure there’s a reason for it but not sure what that is. lol. It’s heavy but it cooked my first sourdough loaf just perfectly. I love it!! I’ll have to see what else you can use a Dutch oven for now. Hahaha.

Nice color and quality of this medium sized cast iron Dutch oven. The gradient colored blue is very elegant that you would find in more expensive brands. The interior enamel is nice and smooth in a traditional cream color. The weight of the pot is as expected. But the weight of the lid is disproportionally heavy for its size. I wished the lid was 1/2 the weight, by reducing the thickness to that of other 5 qt models in different brands. The extra weight of the lid doesn't seal any better as steam still escapes over the edges of the lid to relieve pressure. Using in the oven works as expected to provide 360 degree even heating and even browning with consistent fond development. This pot is very versatile for stove top browning and tranferring to the oven to braise. Oven baking for slow braised stews or round breads for excellent crusty results. Very tender pot roasts and even browning on sourdough bread loaves. Cleaning with initial soak and light sponge wipes off baked debris easily. Great looking Dutch oven and a great value.

I couldn’t wait to get this Dutch oven! I thought about buying one for almost a year and I finally just did it and I was so excited for it to arrive today. I made a jambalaya in it this evening and my husband was so impressed with how good the food was he had two servings and he never does that the way this Dutch oven performed was perfect. It cooked the food so evenly and I think that’s what to get over the top tonight at any rate I highly recommend this particular Dutch oven because it’s beautiful and well-made and I believe it’s the reason my food came out better than normal.

I really like this Dutch oven and use it to cook different meals. It feels very sturdy and well made, although it is quite heavy, which is expected with cast iron. The only issue I’ve had is cleaning it after food gets stuck or burned. Once something sticks and gets really burned, it can be difficult to clean completely. This could possibly be related to how I’m using or cleaning it, so I can’t say for sure that it’s a problem with the pot itself. Other than that, I really like it. It cooks well, feels durable, and the lid and overall design are great.
