I wanted a durable Dutch oven that won’t break the bank— this one exceeded all my expectations. It feels genuinely heavy-duty, with a beautiful forest-green enamel that looks even better in person. The lid has little “spikes” underneath that help keep food moist while cooking, which was a big selling point for me. I use it at least once a week for batch-cooking, and it hasn’t disappointed. So far I’ve made curry, chili, red beans and rice, pasta, and even a one-pot lasagna. The enamel hasn’t chipped, and staining has been minimal. I do baby it a bit by hand-washing and drying it right away, but it’s held up wonderfully. It performs like a high-end brand without the premium price. The only minor downside is that it’s on the heavier side, but that’s to be expected for a solid cast iron Dutch oven. Overall, this Dutch oven has far exceeded my expectations. If you want a high quality, reliable and stylish pot without spending a fortune, this one is absolutely worth it!

I searched for a cast iron Dutch oven for a long time. I read every review out there because I didn’t want to spend hundreds of dollars for a Dutch oven but I wanted a quality one. This one exceeded my expectations!!! It’s not only beautiful to look at it, it’s great quality! It’s heavy and super sturdy like the higher end Dutch ovens I looked at but without the high price tag. This is a must buy for bread bakers looking to make beautiful, crusty loaves that your family will go crazy over!

Love this Dutch oven! I have baked several loads of bread already in it! Made some chili in it. The pot comes clean and still looks brand new still. I haven’t seen and chips yet. The enamel seems to be very good. The weight is heavy but what do you expect from cast iron. I didn’t want to spend a lot to use the pot as my baking pan so purchased a refurbished one and it has been great!!

Very, very happy with this Dutch oven. I was shocked when I saw the price of the common name brand to the point I was concerned about the quality of this one given the relatively low price. However, I was very impressed with the quality and ease of use of this Dutch oven. I love that the inside is coated in the cream color ceramic. It makes it much easier to clean. The weight is as expected for a cast iron Dutch oven. At this point, I only use it for breads. I don’t trust myself to cook with it on the stovetop because I absolutely would grab a hot handle on accident.

The chip-susceptibility is the only reason this doesn’t get a 5. It’s excellent quality but for that. Even cooking, easy to clean (Use Barkeeper’s Friend for any stains - they disappear!), and the self-basting lid is a great help. Buy it!

I absolutely love the burgundy color. As you can see in the photo below it includes the pot, lid, cute handle/lid holders, silicone countertop protector, cookbook, a card front/back with cooking/care instructions and a nylon cleaning sponge/pad. The cookbook is nice because it includes photos; however, it only has 10 recipes and does not include one for bread, which I was hoping for. It does recommend only cooking on low to medium heat to keep from burning food. I’m looking forward to using this. I really didn’t find it all that heavy. There were no chips.
