I was drawn to this for its reasonable price and the number of positive reviews it has received. More and more I rely on reviews to help me make a decision about a product. I bought this as a gift for a friend who had destroyed her favorite cooking pot (long story). She said it was the perfect size for her and that it cooks evenly. She appreciated the thickness of the pot and it's overall quality. It is a bit heavy, but that is normal for an enameled pot. Overall she is very pleased. I actually inspected the pot before I gave it to her and I was very impressed on how well it is made. If I was in the market for a dutch oven myself, I would get one of these.

This enameled cast iron dutch oven is very practical, and that is for a fraction of Le Creuset price, yet not compromising quality one bit. Full-metal oven safe, including the lid. Durable and beautiful. I haven't tried oven roasts yet, but I am sure they will turn out just fine. I did make Japanese chicken and beef curry in it and they turned out awesome every time (steps included caramelizing, searing, sautéing, boiling and simmering - all delivered with quality). I admit I liked a see-through glass lid from another pot better for range top tasks - to control the simmer with better precision, since cast iron is known (and valued!) for superior heat retention and smoother temperature changes. When storing with a lid on, even completely dried, the rust may start to develop where lid touches the rim of the pot. So I wrap the lid in a thick plastic bag before putting it on - doesn't seem to rust this way. You could also toss a crumpled paper towel inside if needed, to help absorb any residue smells. Make sure to wash it (I also then wipe it dry) soon after usage and don't soak it for long. Tossing it in a fridge is not the best idea as it will rust - just move food to airtight containers and wash the pot. There are oils to help care for cast iron, but I don't like the smell they usually develop over time. PS: I also like those cone-shaped pot holders that came with it and use them a lot, with other pots too :)

This pan is now my go-to pan for stew, bread making and anything else that requires a heavy, substantial pot. I bought it initially to make sourdough bread but now I use it for other "creations". I like the red color because it is attractive enough to bring to pot-lucks (pitch-ins) without having the transfer to another dish. It also keeps food warm longer than my other cookware.

Sin duda está cazuela es hermosa, su tamaño perfecto, los colores sin detalles negativos, llegó muy bien empacada, la he usado ya en varias ocasiones y no decepciona, hace muy bien el trabajo, al igual que su cerrado es hermético, no se genera escapes de vapor. Trabajar cone ste tipo de ollas hace que te sientas en tu niñez viendo cocinar a la abuela. Y nada malo que decir del resultado, los alimentos quedan con una cocion exquisita. También felicitar al vendedor, aparte de la cajuela, viene un mantel de silicona para posar dicha olla al terminar de cocinar, unos coje ollas, muy útiles por cierto y su manual que también está en español. Sin duda recomiendo está marca, la calidad del productoens muy bueno.

Wow! This is simply gorgeous and beautiful Dutch oven. I love that. It came with extra stuff. I already have a red one that I recently bought. I decided to get a second one and pick this blue and it’s beautiful. I made a plain artisan bread in one and a rosemary garlic Parmesan artisan bread in the other at the same time. They both came out beautiful and so delicious! I bought two so that I can save on electricity by baking two at a time. Don’t regret it I bought my daughter one with the cream color and gold lid. She absolutely loves it and has been making all kind of things in it.
