We set this chicken run up yesterday. It didn't take too long. We were glad the "ceiling" was not too high because it made putting the chicken wire on that much easier. Definitely a 2 person job. I wasn't sure how sturdy this would be...but yesterday we had 60 mph winds and 18 inches of snow and went I went out this morning it was still standing just fine, Impressive! Our coop is separate so I can't speak as to whether it is predator-proof - we didn't put in any effort for that. This was a great purchase and we're glad to have something set up to keep our hens out of the snow and rain! ... show more

It does the job and does it well! Took 2 ppl to put it together in about 3.5 hrs. However, it WAS 95 degrees out at 10am so I won’t complain! 😁 Received all the parts, had additional zip ties on standby, but didn’t really need them. The door was a bit tricky but we managed. We put this inside of my garden enclosure and also added additional barrier around the garden fence and barrier on the ground. We’ve had a few storms and winds and it’s holding up pretty well. I feel confident these chickens will be pretty safe! Just added some toys for them and will be planting a few herbs around the fence. Only had it outside for 2 weeks and it's been through one rainstorm and already rusting. Pretty disappointed. Was simple to put together. Overall I was really happy with it until I sat there watching my chickens for their first night in the run and saw the rust

Went together easy, tarp for roof is a bonus for providing shade. Only down side is chicken wire is thin, but can modify around base of coop with thicker wire easy enough.

If you can't afford to build a permanent henhouse, these babies are the next best option. Just add a 10×16 trap and your birds are out of the weather, shaded, and they can still get a breeze to keep them cool in the warm months.

    • Easy to set up but the door is a weak spot.

Affordable and easy to set up. I was able to do everything by myself except for the tarp. As always I would recommend using hardware cloth over chicken wire. The door is definitely a weak spot, within a few weeks of having my quail in the coop.
