I purchased two strings of these lights to go around my pool for a little evening festivity. When I first installed them, we were so thrilled the first evening they were on. And the second evening. Then began the sadness... Two weeks later, 8 bulbs have quit working, and several more are so dim they might as well not work. Each set of lights comes with 2 spare bulbs, but we are way past that. It is just sad to look out and see lights out, especially LED lights which should be less likely to burn out. There are replacement bulbs on Amazon which I guess I will order, but they are from a different manufacturer so I worry that they won't have the same shape or color temperature. The lights are on a photocell timer, they come on as it is getting dark and stay on for 2 hours. So it's not like they are burning 24/7. They have been on a total of less than 30 hours. Very disappointed ... show more

We put up a pole at one corner of our patio and then strung the string back and forth from our pergola and the house until it was how we wanted - THEN we put the lights in the sockets - no breakage. The light is the nice, soft, warm feel that we were looking for instead of the big industrial bright lights like Costco has and the line does not droop nearly as much because it is lighter! They also made it through a terrible windstorm. We have been running them 4 hours a night on a timer for over a month now with no issues - love the look! ... show more

    • These are not rinky-dink light bulbs they are for real!
String lights are outstanding but this set does not include a remote verified twice by my wife. Irregardless the lights are extremely attractive and very very bright when we did a test run on our patio. Unfortunately we measured incorrectly and are going to need another string to go all the way around. They are very posh and very cool looking. By the way every bulb worked out of the box and this is an outstanding product. It's not rinky-dink. My wife and I are going to be very proud to show these off during some summer barbecues but they also provide considerably adequate light. ... show more

    • DEFECTIVE!! On for 2 minutes - fuses blew, replaced fuses - still wouldn't go on

I purchased these as replacements for similar lights that were 5 years old. I did so much research before purchasing these specific lights from this company. I thought I chose correctly but I couldn't be more disappointed!! I was so excited when they came - they were packaged so well. I put them all together - tested them (for 10 seconds) and they work. Then took 2 hours to carefully string them up. When I plugged them in, where the other heavy duty lights were - the fuse in the lights blew after 2 minutes. I replaced the fuses and the lights never turned back on. I requested to return or replace these and did not get a response. I'm having a hard time understanding all of the positive reviews - my experience was not good. I would have been happy if they would have only replaced their defective product - but I wasn't even offered that courtesy. I was not impressed. String are super thin. The moment we laid the lights on the floor they would brake!!! I was stressed the entire time! Then to find out, they had no remote controls. So I came across this after seeing 50ft ish lights are $60+ dollars from the hardware store. I bought this a few months ago and had rain come on it a few times and so far it's doing well in terms of weatherproof. The bulbs are glass and arrives in item safe packaging, and since the bulbs are glass, in case one breaks for some reason, they come with 4 replacement bulbs in case for that oopsie. You screw in the bulbs in their hanging locations and plug them in. I remember me reading somehwere before I ever decided to buy these, that someone said earlier that these bulbs were not bright enough? I live in a kinda rural part of my city where there is not much light pollution (so pretty dark), and these bulbs, when turned on, were pretty bright to where I can (and do) comfortably do some night gardening. These bulbs are pretty bright and show a bright yellow color. This product is good to the point where I bought another set. Worth the price and good value for money. ... show more
