These heavy duty string lights with shatterproof plastic bulbs are well suited for year- round outdoor use. They are an excellent value and having LED bulbs makes them economical to use over long periods of time. Being dimmable is an excellent added feature.

The media could not be loaded. Lights are bright enough, purchase a 100ft long (2x 50ft) lights for an enclosed patio. Will update review on durability. I do get some rain in the patio during storms so will see how it wears through. So happy with my purchase so far!!

Can't say much about weather proof because I'm in LV, and it rarely rains here. I did end up hanging them as a double string because the bulbs are too far apart for where I have them. It was easy enough. And - just as a note - these are two strings of 50 bulbs so when hanging them, you end up with a bulky connector where they are attached. And - as another reviewer said - you have to screw all the bulbs in. I didn't have a problem with this. And, I did bang a few of them on more than one occasion without anything breaking. ... show more

Originally, I thought I bought the solar version so I was going to return, but ended up keeping and using for Christmas along my long set of bushes and oh my gosh how beautiful I will be using these every single year.
