OK, nobody eats smoked foods for their "health benefits." We eat them because they taste great! But the unique two-chamber design of this smoke generator surely offers some health benefits that no single chamber smoke generator can. I realized this when I cleaned the auxiliary chamber, not the one with the smoking pellets but the chamber into which the smoke is drawn before it is ejected into the grill via a venturi effect. After a four hour smoke using mesquite pellets, there was about a quarter inch of thick, gooey tar (or "smoke oil") on the bottom of the chamber, tar that did NOT make it into my food! I'd say that is some sort of health benefit! The device was very easy to assemble with clearly illustrated instructions. It came with its own high quality Phillips head screwdriver and a mini wrench to complete the assembly. They provided twice as many stainless steel screws and wing nuts as the assembly required, so there was no danger of being unable to assemble the generator due to a lost screw. The package includes a wire-bristle bottle brush that is used to clean the chambers after use. The fan is quiet and very effective with a lot of variability in the output. I am very, very happy with this purchase!

First time using this morning, smoking some cheese. I picked this Smoke Generator hoping it would produce cold smoke after watching the video online and as many other reviews of what's out there. As you can see from my two temp probes that after one hr the temp is perfect for cheese being way under 90 degrees. I have a large BBQ but thought I would make my own box smoker, it's working wonderfully. I used pellets for fuel, turned on the fan and used a micro torch to light. It caught on within 40 seconds. ( 20 on each side ) just like the video As the instructions say I turned the fan down to control / reduce the smoke, but here is the issue. It does not trickle out as shown on the video, its almost full blown on low. I cracked the smoker doors to release extra smoke, my understanding is you don't want to oversmoke cheese. Side note... don't set up like I did on top of the hot tub cover, I now have smoke stains needing cleaning after one hr

I've used this cold smoker 2 times and on the 3rd time I went to use it the air pump won't even turn on. First time using it was really easy , pretty easy to assemble but the metal is thin and cheap and cannot stand up to the heat if you try to push the rubber seal in the metal lid bends. You need to use something else to help push and guide he rubber in. It worked pretty well the first 2 times I used it produced good smoke. It was a little noisy but it worked then I went to fire it up tonight and the pump won't turn on. Got 2 uses out of it before it died ... Got 2 stairs for ease of use and ease of assembly. But quality and durability is not worth it Dropped to 1 star seller reached out asking if I wanted a refund or replacement and I said yes and now they won't respond. Bad product unresponsive seller

I love my smoker! I've done chesses, sausages, nuts....the small condensing chamber collects liquid smoke that can be used in many recipes also. I've had absolutely no problems. Small enough to be portable and still large enough to do decent size jobs.

It does what it claims to do. The cleaning is messy, wear gloves and protect the work surface. The suggestion to use lye is a bit too much, I feel. I wiped out the tar and used a spray-on grill grate cleaner to get off the outer layer. The remaing tar was wiped clean with some acetone.

This is a good cold(of course don't expect freezing cold smoke, just a little bit over outside temperature) smoke generator if you are lazy to build something DIY. I've built in past a few of them with different designs(different height, smoke tube at the top or at the bottom and etc. ) and when I received this one I said "yep, good design". It produces pretty strong smoke out of pellets and fast to start them because of air flow from compressor. I didn't try it with full load and timer but I would say 4-6 hours seems doable. There is might be one design flaw with bottom lid(this silicone thing which is on the bigger tube) - when it is hot while or just after finishing smoking, it keeps failing out of tube. Not a problem but keep it in mind. Outside of it seems solid and well built - all details looks professionally assembled without any sharp surfaces(usual problem of custom production). In case if you want to start smoking and already have a grill(I was using cardboard box in the past to do cold smoking :)), this device is for you.

This does not come with a power adapter! The seller conveniently fails to mention this, so that they can advertise this product for $10 cheaper. Get the wrong adapter and it might not be enough to generate smoke, or on the other hand, it might provide too much amperage and you'll burn out the air pump. Hey seller!!! Just include to proper adapter and stop playing these underhanded deceitful games. I have yet to try this product because I'm waiting for a power adapter, which I had to purchase separately. Just include it. How cheap.
