Purchased for greenhouse heater as a replacement for another heater that is a couple of years old and having problems. This one is smaller than the old one but more poweful. I get the same results from this one on low settings that I got from the old one on high. The lowest temperatue we have had so far is in the mid 20s, and, on low, this heater maintained a temperature of around 50. I'm sure that, if the temperature drops lower and I need to turn the heater up, it will perform just as well. ... show more

This item was a Christmas gift. Imagine my surprise when the receiver of the gift opened it up and we discovered that this was an item that had been returned. It made me feel as if I was knowingly given an item I paid less for because it was returned even if I had paid full price!

Using it when it gets around freezing to keep an orange tree from frost. Cover the tree with a burlap sack and place the heater blowing up from underneath. It does the job on some 20° nights. I do not think this would keep a person warm in that weather, but would if it was 50° and you are sitting around on the porch. Also used it in a 2 car garage to cut the chill, and it worked for that. Running 12 hours with no letdown in performance or heat. You can adjust the heat level. ... show more
