I've been a professional technician for 20 years. I've used many scan tools over the years. Personally, I like Autel the best due to the ability to set custom graph options. The Otofix D1 Pro functions exactly like an Autel. This model has all of the bidirectional controls, resets, relearns, and systems. There aren't many coding or programming functions in this particular one (D1 pro) however, for the price, this is a fantastic tool. AutoAuth works well with chrysler. The software is legitimate because it cam be registered with the official Autel website. What you're buying here is an Autel at half the price. I have 4 scan tools and the Otofix D1 pro is equivalent to the Autel Maxisys MS906 pro. You get 2 years of free updates vs 1 year and the updates are half the cost of Autel products. The updates cost 299 a year after 2 years and the scan tool will continue to function even if you don't pay. Overall, this is a fantastic tool for the money. The only complaint I have is the lack of a kick stand or steering wheels stand. This is the only scan tool I've ever owned that doesn't have a kick stand on the back. But the is a minimal issue concerning what this is capable of for the price.

I brought this scanner because i was in the process of buying a pre-owned bmw and i wanted to make sure there wasnt any hidden codes or intermittent codes. This scanner reads generic and oem codes. I love this scanner. Its definitely dealer quality. Its definitely tonka-tuff the build quality it good. Its bi-directional. I used it to re calibrated my lights, seat, window, sunroof and suspension in my newly purchased bmw. Im amazed with the capabilities of this tool. I let my friend use it and he works for Infiniti and he said it works like the job computer. He approves. To me the best part about this scanner is that you can send the diagnostic report to anyone thru txt msg or email. That alone is worth buying. It auto detects the vin numbers. There are over 100 car makes/models stored on the scanner. I love the fact that you have 2 yr of updates before renewal and you can still use the scanner even after the subscription expires. I also like that it will give you possible reason why that fault occurred and possible ways to diagnose the problem and even gives you the option the search on youtube or the net to help you understand the problem better. Only thing i say is becareful and know what your doing before you go plundering into something. I learned the hard way but i was able to recover. Thanks otofix. Its worth buying

I have used several scanners including dealership scanners and honestly this scanner works great for about any day to day diagnostics needed. Very easy to use and set up, quick full vehicle scans, has about any special function I have needed so far. For dollar to tool worth, definitely worth it!

This scanner is a great scanner on steroids!!! I bought it’s calibration feature. The local dealership said that my solenoid would not “take” the calibration, it may be defective. Without much trust in their diagnosis, i purchased this unit. I hooked it up, followed the directions provided by the scanner, and voila!!! Solenoid calibrated!! It is super easy to use, very instructional, nice large screen, very powerful, many many capabilities! I love the bluetooth obd dongle, makes it easier to be able to work outside the cabin of the vehicle. This is by far the best obd scanner i have ever purchased or used, and i have used quite a few snapon, matco, etc scanners!

This is a great scanner. I bought this for 2003 dodge ram 2500 it did everything but reset the ecu code this is the main reason why purchase was made. Overall this is great for everything else. Im giving it 4 stars

I have been using the D1 lite and decided I wanted to try the D1 pro. The screen is much larger then the lite has more functionality and more ports in the back for connectivity. It loads faster and seams to scan faster as well. I’m really liking the upgrade and will try and update this review as I use it more with my likes and dislikes. So far the only downside to the bigger tablet is the much larger case so it’s not something you can keep in the car when on a road trip, for that the d1 lite is better.

I mainly got this scanner to check for codes on cars and to program keys. I have tested it on a few of my Hondas and Toyotas and it has worked out great. Super easy to setup and updates itself. So its always in date. Can hook up to a lot of different vehicles and scan trouble codes. So far it has been super useful and was a bit cheaper than the other Autel Scanners I was looking at. Highly recommend it!

I am shop manager of a small boutique dealership that specializes in used European imports, collectables and exotics. I pay for my own tools and the scanners capable of communicating with the kind of cars I mostly deal with are very expensive. I usually have to send to other shops just to reset airbag lights triggered due to detail shop. Having this level of scanner capability, service resets and trouble shooting on these cars will not just save me lots of time and money, but Make money! Haven't had a make or model yet it didn't work with. Even resets Maserati services which is supposed to be dealer only. Very happy with it 5 months later. Audi capabilities have made me no longer hate the brand and I absolutely Love the flashlight in the dongle.
