This set allows for the removal and installation of press- fit ball joints on many GM and Ford light-duty trucks, vans and SUVs through 2003; Dodge light trucks through 1998; Dodge vans, Durango and Dakota through 2003; and Honda Accord, Civic, del Sol, and Prelude through 2001.     • Great set with more uses than just ball joints
I was looking for a decent quality c-clamp for a number of bushing jobs and the range of cups and receivers that came with this set made it attractive. The C-clamp is a good quality item, the threaded sections fit together well and the clamp doesn't flex despite being worked hard. The set comes with a great range of fittings and in conjunction with some existing puller/pusher fittings it's always got the job done. There are more fittings that can be purchased separately to add to the set if required. The case is larger than the pictures suggest, houses everything and is strong. Overall, I really like the set and would recommend it. One final point, keep the thread lubricated with anti-seize or moly grease. It will work much faster and limits wear. ... show more

Absolutely amazing kit. Can't get a kit with this many pieces, made this well, at this price. OTC is a name known for great quality. I'm. Ford diesel mechanic, our Ford specialty tools are often made by OTC. This kit is great to have around. Works very well for ball joints and u joints.

I love tools made in the USA. OTC are heavy duty and you get what you pay for. I bought the kit to rebuild the front end of my Ford Excursion and later to do my Chevrolet Silverado. Makes easy work of U-joints and ball joint. Might be a little pricey for the do-it-yourselfer, but worth it.

    • Great Tool Set.
This is a very good tool, and the press tool (C Clamp on steroids) is definitely made in the USA. The range of adapters will cover most needs. All the adapters are stamped with part numbers, and the case is labeled to easily sort all parts. The only criticism I would have of this set is that I did have trouble installing a lower ball joint in a 2003 Chevy Trailblazer. The adapter provided will allow the ball joint to slip into the adapter at an angle, possibly deforming the ring. In the end, I went to Lowes and bought a 2" galvanized close nipple (about 3" in length) and chilled the ball joint in dry ice. The chilling shrunk the ball joint to the point I could almost push it in by hand, and was actually able to press it in by hand using a 1/2" breaker bar. ... show more

Bought this for work and its worth every penny, so far its worked on every ball joint job I've come across, and all the attachments have come in handy for other jobs as well like control arm bushings and u-joints

Good kit as long as you use the right adapter for the application you have. I selected what I thought was the right adapter it wasn't. The adapter bent to a bell shape. It removed the joint okay but if it had been made a little stronger it would not have bent.

I checked these out for 2 days before ordering . I've never seen a better built press ( ever ) This is all you will ever need. It looks like the ones we used on army tanks. I just can't say enough good things about this tool set. Read all the reviews like i did and you will see what i mean.
