Description

Even with regular house pressure, this professional quality soaker hose can water up to a mile in length! The large 1" outside diameter with .2" thick walls means that it can carry the volume of water needed right to the end of the line. The extra thick walls means slower soaking for a more efficient watering and less breakdown, common to less expensive soaker hoses. NOTE: The hose may need to be "burped" or have air removed. It's really a normal size hose so when and if I want to cut the hose to the length I want or repair it I can put new ends on it. It's heavy duty yet does a really good job of soaking the area where it is placed. I use soaker hoses in my garden and bury them and plant just above them so the roots get the water. I use rain water and a pump to get the water from the barrels to the hose so the pressure isn't as strong as if it were coming from the hose. I bought 2 of these. I waited for several weeks to make sure it was something I really wanted, and I bought the very best quality that was available. I live in Central Texas where it's HOT HOT HOT in the summer. I had re-done all the mulch beds around the backyard, and wanted some way to keep the plants alive. In some places I thought I had to double up, or circle the plant to give it enough water. I did not. Running it single length along the beds provides plenty of water. It's a thick hose, so it sits on top of the mulch, but I really like how it delivers water. My plants are super happy. I have connected 2 together, and the end of the hose gets as much water as near the hose bib. I will likely buy one or two more and irrigate the front flower/mulch beds. I am very pleased and will pay a little more to be assured such excellent quality. ... show more

Two of the three hoses I ordered were defective. You can't get water to the end of the hose even with the end cap off. Its a sieve and all leaks out in the first 25 feet. (of the 100' length hose). I am providing more than ample water flow/pressure. One of the three hoses worked as supposed to. Return was a hassle and I had to pay for return shipping which I think is a violation of amazon policy. What a pain this whole transaction has been. ... show more

    • Best Soaker Hose I've Used
I have a small ranch in Southern Colorado where the sun and wind can be incredibly strong. I am always trying to make sure that the things I buy to improve the ranch can withstand both the harsh human and natural elements. This soaker hose definitely fills that description. Much tougher than anything I found in Home Depot or Lowes. The pressure is very high on our frost-free hydrants but this soaker hose does a great job of self regulating the outflow of water. If you decide to cut the hose to custom lengths, make sure you use at least a 3/4" replacement hose coupler. The walls on these soaker hoses are very thick. I have bought two lots of these hoses over the past 5 years. I am still using the original lot from 5 years ago. ... show more

I had a need for LOTS of soaker hose and this is the only brand I found that suited my need. This house is way more robust than anything else on the market. I have over 700' buried in all my beds and the consistency that it waters with is outstanding. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 has been reported by others...the hose comes with a plastic cap to terminate the connection. This is a really poor design. I ordered brass end caps when I ordered the house so I am ok but for a product of this quality I expect more. Do yourself a favor and look no further, this is the product for you. ... show more

Using the hose to soak a line of bushes far from the house. Th hose is very sturdy and well made. Should last years. This is the 2nd one I have purchased. You won’t be disappointed. Allows a much bigger volume of water compared to cheap hardware soaker hoses.

    • Please check the cap on the male end of the hose before using
I purchased 3 of these hoses. They seem to be of very good quality and performance, except got one thing. The male end of the hose is the weak link, The first hose had a black plastic end cap, which blew apart the first time it was used. I tried super glue to fix it, but that lasted about 10 minutes. I found an old plastic hose valve which I could shut off and substituted that for the end cap. However, within a few days, the end cap on the blew out as well. Rather than waiting for the 3rd to blow out, I made a trip to the local plumbing supply house and purchased 3 brass hose end caps for $1.69 each. This seems to solve the problem. It's a bit sad when the company sells extra heavy duty soaker hoses for a premium price and finished it off with a dime store plastic cap, when for less than $2 could have had a product worth the $77.00 they charge for the hose. ... show more

    • Absolutely Worth the Price
These soaker hoses are fantastic. Twice the width of what I could find at the local hardware stores. I have three hooked together and plan on adding a fourth. I can't speak to how they overwinter but as of yet, I am very pleased so far. They have reduced our water waste and how much time I spend watering the garden drastically. The shipping is MUCH cheaper through Amazon Prime than through the retailer's website. I saved a small fortune purchasing through Amazon. As a side note, the hoses are quite stiff when you unravel them. I stretch them out in the yard in the sunshine for a couple of hours or for the day before I thread them through the garden.
