i will say, this is not the most quality product, but for a do it yourself-er like me, it does the job. i did one really tie rod end; and the main stud stripped out on the tool. i contacted customer service and they sent me a replacement because of the issue. it does what it should, i may have got a defective one, but they made it right and sent another. just be careful with these as they are not the most durable. you get what you pay for, and this will do the job, just be nice to it. ... show more

Unit size and adjustment range is small. Does not work on full size trucks. Would not handle Honda Odyssey tie rod ends. To be clear, unit will not adjust large enough for tierods noted. Quality seems decent but size dictates use for smallest cars only.

Plenty good enough for normal disassembly. I have had to use them on a '47 Ford Deluxe whose front-end parts did not want to come apart at times. I tightened the smallest puller so tight trying to break loose two parts from one another that the screw started stripping inside the aluminum housing. This was excessive, to be sure, and not the fault of the tool. A good set and really helped me on some of the parts. ... show more

I used the big "clamp style" separator to remove an unbelievably stuck upper ball joint on my 2005 Explorer. The usual "tuning fork" tool, hammers and a torch would just not get it! I wrenched this tool down incredibly hard using a 1/2" drive socket and a breaker bar. I was sure the tool would break. The ball joint still did not release.. that is how bad it was. I then applied the torch and in about 15 seconds the joint released with a BANG and flew into the inner fender well. Be careful folks.. lots of stored energy here! ONE NOTE: The tool is not quite big enough for the Explorer upper ball joint.. not quite enough spread... so cut about a half inch off the bolt. Hacksaw if no Sawzall. ... show more

The product looks well made high quality. The ball joint remover was not able to open wide enough to use on the ball joint and on the tie rod. As for other cars like Ford F150 and Hondas yes it will work. For some reason Chrysler after market joints are made with higher stems maybe oem are the same.
