I purchased this product in April, and while trying to purchase a refill before I ran out, I noticed two things. While the cost was $127, whenever I moved it to the cart the cost jumped to $150. At first, I thought I randomly triggered some sort of add on, but it turns out I didn't. That's $23 over the stated amount. Then I went to the Athletic Greens website and HOLY COW, the Amazon vendor is overcharging. The 30-day pouch is only $79 with a subscription or $99 without. That's $50-$75 overpriced depending on a subscription or not. So be forewarned. THAT SAID… I find the product easy to use daily. I looked forward to starting my morning off with it. It has a pleasant taste, and I find myself drinking more water during the day. Still not as much water as I should be drinking, but at least two glasses more. I think starting the morning off with a nice refreshing beverage has helped. Does it provide the vitamins and minerals I need? Not a clue. I'd need a blood test for that. Way too expensive ... spend too much on packaging. Results are not really apparent. After the first batch was gone, we decided to keep trying and ordered another supply. This time it had less elaborate packaging and cost a few dollars less.

I Love this drink. I could drink it 4 or 5 times a day easily possibly more, though admittedly I am not sure if drinking that much is TOO much of a good thing because of all of the vitamins in it. I made the original purchase for weight control but can not comment on that yet as I have not taken it long enough. I have lost about 5 pounds but not sure if it is the drink or other things that I have implemented in my day (like additional walking and cutting out certain foods I know I am addicted to.) I know I do not get near enough fruits and vegetables in my diet so this is what prompted the purchase. I have had several green drinks in years past and ultimately go off of them because of the taste. Anyone who has tasted some of these know what I mean. I was skeptical about Athletic Greens, first because of the price and second because I felt it really would not be any different, however the many positive reviews made me go for it. All I can say is that I was pleasantly surprised. The taste is almost creamy in texture and you can taste the slight undertone of the good healthy chocolate that they use. It has absolutely no grassy taste. I also love the fact that I need to add nothing to it (like protein powders), so this has made it great for me to take to work. I have my shaker bottle and a container with some of the powder in my drawer so when I want one, I just measure out the spoonful, add my cold water shake it up and drink. Since it is recommended to keep it refrigerated after you open it, this is why I just keep a days worth in my desk drawer. The bag stays at home in the fridge. It has kept me from eating protein bars and other not so good things during the day. Because it is loaded with good stuff, I wanted my husband to drink it daily as well. He is fine with drinking it just once a day, for the health benefits but he did say he actually liked it. Now for the down side, I started drinking it at least 2 times and sometime 3. This is mostly because I am using it to replace my rather unhealthy coffee drink that I became addicted to. Even for the short time I have been on Athletic Greens (about 3 weeks), I have had no coffee nor any desire for it. With both my husband and I drinking it at our current pace, one bag will last less than a month (a whole lot less if I don't stop drinking it more than twice a day!). At the current price, I need at least 2 bags for the month, so we are looking at over $250.00. This is a little steep for retired folks. I know the theory is that you are saving money in groceries, so maybe it will just take some creative budgeting on my part. All I know is I really hate to give it up. I will be honest and say because my bag is just about empty, and I did not want to lose any ground with the benefits I believe my body has received from this drink, I just purchased another brand that I got a 5 month supply for what ONE month of the Athletic Greens cost me. It is due at my home in a couple of day, and I suspect it will not taste the same, but the google search has it in the number 2 place after Athletic Greens in taste and nutrients, so guess I will see. Bottom Line is, if you can afford Athletic Greens I would definitely recommend it. I am going to do what I can to purchase it when possible. Yes, I am no longer addicted to coffee, but now I think I just replaced it with another addiction (albeit a much healthier one). ... show more
