I like the fact that it is non GMO and is a clean product. No "other" ingredients that most people do not want in their food. I don't care for greens but I take 1/2 tsp. everyday with no problem. I have 2 dogs and I also give them each 1/2 tsp. in their food everyday to keep them out of the vets office. They love it and like their dishes clean everyday. Try it. It is a great product. I also buy Z Natural's Wheatgrass and Barley powders. I rotate the three powders each day for myself and my dogs. I love Z Natural products.

This was vacuum sealed in a light-proof and airproof bag which I appreciated. I have bought other products from this company and really liked their quality and price per pound compared to competing brands. (I love their organic coconut milk powder; it's always fresh.) This was my first time getting spirulina from this company, however, and I didn't find the flavor on par with the prior brand of organic spirulina I had on hand (Nuts.com). I usually love the taste of spirulina and use it almost as an msg or Umami element in my food due to its fifth taste type depth and sweet nuttiness. I tasted a spoonful of this, plain, right when I unsealed the bag and it fell flat, no sweet, nutty umami-ness. It wasn't BAD, it just didn't....pop or strike me as super fresh tasting. It didn't have much flavor at all. But maybe it was just my taste buds and eating it plain rather than in a salty broth or savory dish like I'm used to. While organic, this is harvested in China which is a big concern for many. I tend to trust the organic label regardless of origin but if you're willing to pay more, you may want to look for spirulina from another country. I can't say how pure this is beyond what I can judge with my senses. The color is good, the texture is that signature spirulina texture, the flavor isn't stale but isn't stellar, and it didn't make my stomach nauseated like spirulina can do sometimes. Price-wise, this is a good choice for one pound of organic spirulina at the $19.99 listing it was when I ordered it. One pound goes a long way with such a concentrated nutrient.
