  • Not a flavor that tastes like sugar! Hurray!
Flavor Name: Cinnamon Spice
It works. It doesn't taste like sugar. I'm a fan. If you want something other than the major market brands this is a fantastic alternative. I wanted something without sugars, and that didn't taste like fake sugars. This hits the spot. For something you drink with 16 ozs of water it's not like it takes long to consume. Though, I've tried others and they taste like liquid cardboard, so the bar isn't too high overall. I've had issues ordering it, and the orange flavor even went off my auto-delivery as it was no longer available. If the product is in stock, well, it's worth it. The price is fine, as I believe you get what you pay for. Hope this helps all of you lost in thought with extra sitting time on your hands! ... show more

  • This product (fine powder) vs whole husk (course powder)
Flavor Name: Original
I had a few problems when I tried to transition to this product from whole husk psyllium powder. Some of the problems I encountered were of my own making and some not... I had been using a different psyllium product that was of the whole husk variety, meaning that the husk is not ground down into a FINE powder as is the case with this item. What I hadn't realized is that finely ground powdered psyllium products (like this one) are much denser. This means that one uses much less than the whole husk coursely powdered (not finely ground) equivalent. What I came to learn (the hard way unfortunately) is that a teaspoonful of this product is roughly equivalent to a tablespoon of whole husk psyllium powder in terms of fiber content. So in transitioning to this product I mistakenly was using a whole tablespoon which was more than my system could handle. As a result I wound up with a lot of gas and a very loose stool. I readily admit that this was my own fault because I simply didn't read the directions. Live and learn. When I finally realized my error I then adjusted the dosage to a teaspoonful. But even then my system couldn't seem to adjust to this product. I finally decided to switch back to what had worked for me all along; organic whole-husk (not finely ground) psyllium powder. So, not reading and following the instructions properly was clearly my fault. But there's more to this story that speaks of a larger, industry-wide problem: The manufacturers of these products unfortunately do not make the distinction between finely ground powder vs whole psyllium husk which is a course powder. It is this lack of proper labelling and insufficient detail in product descriptions that results in what I see as a serious marketing faux pas as this in turn sets the stage for lots of confusion among consumers about what a "powdered" product actually. The cause of this confusion is due to the fact that the term "powder" is used throughout industry without there being a uniform, clear definition of what that term actually means. How can an industry use the ubiquitous, generic term of 'powder' or 'powdered' so loosely without defining its meaning and then expect its customers to be fully informed? It is this lack of proper labelling and poorly written product descriptions that leaves the consumer to figure things out for themselves, leaving me with the conclusion that If it is the industry's intention to create a superlative guessing game then they've succeeded admirably. Personally, I don't like guessing games, especially when it comes to nutritional supplements. Even more taxing is the fact that this whole issue could easily and quickly be resolved simply by merely adding the adjectives of either "course" or "fine" to their use of the word powder. But do they do this? Nooooooo. I also have one last issue with this particular product and it pertains to fact that their dosing instructions are given in GRAMS instead of teaspoons. How many people are going to weigh their daily doses?! I mentioned earlier that I eventually had to figure out a correct doseage but what I neglected to mention is that I had to write to the seller/manufacturer to determine just how they translate a ten gram dose (it's a teaspoon approximately). Another guessing game...once again bad labelling strikes again. A final note: Rather than try to return this product and not wanting to waste it by throwing it away, I tried something different which seems to be working for me: When I make my daily smoothie I use a tablespoon of my non-ground whole husk (course) psyllium powder and add to the mix a quarter of a teaspoon of this product as well. This hybrid mix of the two products seems to work fine for me but I only intend to continue this practice till I use up all of this product that I have left at which time I'll then go back to using what always worked for me all along - the whole husk psyllium powder. In retrospect I should have never deviated from a practice that was already working for me but I thought that trying something new (this product) MIGHT yield some greater health benefits given the added herbs they advertise - with "might" being the operative word. But alas, I was wrong as all I got for my troubles was indigestion, gas and loose bowels. As I said...live and learn. This is actually a fine product (no pun intended) that may work well for others when proper dosage is followed but that wasn't the case for me. I hope this helps. Good luck. ... show more

  • Best tasting psyllium fiber, much smoother than competition, just a bit pricey
Flavor Name: Cinnamon Spice
The best psyllium product I have tried. It is ground much finer than typical psyllium products, allowing it to be much smoother when added to liquid. The taste is also excellent without being overly sweet like most products. The only reason I don't give it five stars is that it is a bit pricey for the amount received. Maybe they should offer a larger amount at a discount per ounce? Maybe twice the size and offer a 15% discount per ounce? Otherwise it is a fantastic product. ... show more

  • Works well
Flavor Name: Cinnamon Spice
This fiber product works! Took about two days to feel the results. I am pleased with how well it works. You can slightly taste the cinnamon in it. I added it to my water bottle and gave it a good shake-up to mix it. As instructed you should drink it immediately to avoid it gelling up and becoming to think. I have also tried it in my morning smoothies which is even better. It gels up just like any other fiber powder to give an idea of what it could be if you let it sit too long before drinking. I will be making another purchase soon. Seems to be sold out quite a bit. ... show more

  • Great tasting psyllium powder
Flavor Name: Cinnamon Spice
I need to add fiber to my diet, but I hate the citrus flavor of a lot of the common psyllium mixes. This organic mix from India has both pre and probiotic fiber as well as a lovely spice taste. It is easy to add to yogurt or tea. It is a little pricey, but I am still well pleased with this product. It arrived fairly quickly in great condition. ... show more
