This I an excellent buy. I bought this fan originally in 2017 used it frequently and it just now started acting up. I believe I abused it by using the safety feature to turn it off by tipping it over instead of shutting it off. Now the little button at the base is wobbly and the fan doesn’t turn on again when upright. It served me so well that I’m about to buy another one. I think I will also try to fix the one I bought in 2017 for about $13.99. I used it at home and in the office. It heats up the room well and the auto shut off safety feature is reassuring. When the fan kicks in, it can be loud, but the combination of performance, durability and safety make it a keeper! It was a good buy in 2017 and 9 years later, it still is. I will buy it again.

I originally ordered the Optimus H-1322 Portable 2-Speed Heater on December 17, 2013 My office tends to be on the cold and I tend to always be cold, so I really needed a good heater to stick under my desk at work to help warm me up. I used it almost every day during the fall and winter and even a bunch of days in the spring and it worked great - while everyone else was freezing, I was nice and toasty. It was also pretty quiet and never disturbed anyone else in the office (see video). Unfortunately, our journey came to an end last week when, out of the blue, it just stopped working. I was heartbroken but we had a good run and then I remembered that I bought it on Amazon and that they had a record of my purchase so that I could find the same exact heater and buy it again! Huzzah! My new heater arrived a few days ago, and while I'll always be grateful to Optimus #1, I'm sure that Optimus #2 will keep me warm for many more years to come.

I rated the product 1 star because the product performed, but not with all the functions as advertised. The product has 2 dials, one for setting the "function" (off, fan/ambient air only, 750 watts, 1500 watts), and one for lower vs higher temperature. The "function" setting worked as advertised. The dial for "setting" a lower vs higher temperature provided no difference in temperature even at the far low end vs the far high end. I did not expect (on a cheaply-made product such as this) that I would be able to set a specific temperature with precision, or to get a wide range of temperatures across the dial, but I certainly expected that the difference between the temperature at the low end of the dial and the high would be physically noticeable (i.e. not zero difference). For $32.99 this is an expensive "cheap" heater/fan and especially for that reason, I do expect that it should perform in all its attributes as advertised. I needed a heater NOW so I did not return it, but I am expressing my displeasure by giving a 1 star rating. If you have the time and energy to order and return, perhaps you might be ok with getting a dud and returning it in the hopes of getting one that isn't. It's cold now where I live, a toilet water pipe just froze and when I buy a heater/fan I want it to work completely as advertised right out of the box. One star for this one. And if price matters to you, continue looking because this one is also overpriced.

I love this litter heater! Its by no means a luxury heater, but it’s my favorite. It’s not easy to find a little fan propelled heater (I like the sound when I sleep) that also is a little fan without heat. I am hot natured so I don’t like a big over powering heater. This is perfect for my large master bedroom. It puts out just enough heat. It does have temp. control and shuts off when at a certain degree! It doesn’t necessarily have the temperature marked, but I guess at it just fine. After messing with it for a couple days you have the exact area you need to set the dial to. It’s not even an issue after you get the hang of it. For the price I would totally recommend. If you are in a climate that doesn’t get super cold, or are hot natured like me and don’t like overpowering heat this is for you! I will say it does a great job of warming my 200 square foot room with the door closed! Obviously your door needs to be shut to make the most out of this. I could also put it closer to me and keep the door open, that would work as well. I normally keep it about 6-7 foot away from my bed. It’s perfect for my toddler and I to sleep. She is very hot natured as well. If you live in the south definitely buy this! I recommend it for anywhere though. If it’s 20 degrees outside this baby does the trick! It’s NOT by any means super loud like a box fan, but it’s not super quiet like some of the ceramic ones. I like the noise though, like I said that’s why I got it!! I’m buying another one right now for my downstairs and I also may buy one for a back up. I’ve tried so many little heaters (I’m pretty picky lol) that were so much more expensive and those don’t compare to this one!! I have a large tower one that was over $100 and I prefer this one 100%! I’ve been using mine for years now and it’s still going strong. I wish there were marked temperatures on the dial, that’s my reason for 4 stars.

When I got this item, it had a piece broken off and it didn't work properly. I wanted a replacement but they didn't have any at that time. So when it was back in stock, I sent it back so I could get the replacement at the same price. Well, it was a little after 30 days so I didn't get reimbursed for the full amount. Just be aware of that. I didn't know that. That being said...now on to the review of the product itself. It is very light and appears to be "cheap". It looks and feel like cheap plastic but from my 5 star review you can see that it actually works great! It has a plastic piece on the bottom so if the fan/heater falls over, it will turn off. That's a good safety feature, but be careful. That piece was already broken off on the first one when it arrived. It had a smell at first, like a burning rubber type smell, but after continued use the smell has completely gone away. I am amazed at how much heat this little heater gives out. Of course, it's not going to heat up a huge room, but it's perfect for small spaces. I put it on the floor at my feet or on top of my desk to provide warmth while I am working. I've only used the heater, as it's winter right now, and it works great. In the summer, I will use the fan. That's what is so great. You get 2 products in one. It is a heater and a fan. And it is small, so it doesn't take much room in storage. I like how it is portable and has a handle on the top of it. It does make noise when it is on. Pretty much every fan or heater makes noise, but I would not say it is too loud. I don't think it is TOO noisy.

I bought this small space hearter for under my desk. I had to return the 1st one because the fan died after two days. As said in the earlier reviews. the safety shutoff is a problem. The shutoff is a little tab in the bottom that gets dislodged. If you accidently bump it you have to pick it up and set it down hard to get the safety shutoff to disingage. I now realize that was probably what was wrong with the first one. When you first turn the unit on, the fan rattles like it will fly away but it settles down within seconds so I can live with it. This one stop working at two weeks old. I figured I had nothing to lose so I whacked hard it a couple times, picked it up and set down hard and it started working. I am ordering a different brand because I expect this one to quit completely in the near future.

Amazing little heater for my space, a mid-size studio apartment, and perfect for the inbetween time when it's too warm for the building's radiator heat to kick in, but too cool to be without. This unit fills that gap very well. Three settings (just fan, 750W, 1500W) and with a thermostat for more precision. When running, once the desired temp is reached, dial down the thermostat to where it just turns off and let it sit. Love that feature. I'll be curious to see if I'll even need the 1500W setting when it chills here in January Chicago. Best of all is safety. There is a doohickey on the unit's bottom that if it tips over or is picked up, the unit will shut off. Unit is cool to the touch when running. Fan is audible, but probably not so much that it would affect one's sleep, for example. Makes sure you know it's running, I reckon, hehe.
