I installed this Onwote 16 channel security camera system approximately 18 months ago and have been very pleased with it. Installation was very straightforward and simple with these POE cameras. Video quality is outstanding! The day resolution is superb, very detailed with vibrant colors; the night resolution is good as well out to 50 feet or so in black & white. If there is at least a half moon or more on a clear night, the cameras can see much farther out from the house. I live in a rural area on acreage and often see rabbits, raccoons, coyotes and other animals moving about (mostly at night). The AI vehicle and human detection works very well also, alerting me on my phone to anyone who drives or walks up to my house which thankfully is not very often. The only thing I'd improve would be to make the NVR fan noise a little quieter, but that's pretty minor. Overall I am very happy with this camera system and have recommended it to several friends and family members.

Update: Changed review. Onwote reached out to me and offered to replace the out of warranty cameras that failed with upgraded cameras that have additional features. I am upgrading my review to reflect this unexpected superior customer service. My only disappointment with this system was the hardware longevity which has now been addressed thus far. Original review: This system is great, however hardware longevity leaves much to be desired.. Despite using all weatherproof gear included and using dielectric on all connections, I had one camera stop working under warranty. They replaced it without problems but right after the warranty expired, another failed and since then another has now failed. When everything is working this is an excellent system, however with 3 cameras failing within a year and a half, I'm extremely disappointed. My last system was working well even 5-6 years later but they dropped US software support so after much research I purchased this one. Even an amazing system is no good when cameras fail this quickly.

I waited to write this review because we needed some help getting our system to communicate with our cell phones. We set system up with no issues but we could only get the cameras to load on our WiFi. Once we left our WiFi couldn’t get them up load. So we reached out to support. I must give the support team 5 stars. They spent two days trouble shooting our system with us and was able to get it sorted. The technicians even loaded the system-on their cell phones to insure it was working and responding correctly! I love this system! The clarity is just amazing! Night vision is ok but works well esp if you provide an additional light. Set up wasn’t difficult but we had issues as stated with off our WiFi it was something within our phone settings that was off. I’m not entirely sure. But they were able to trouble shoot the system and see there was an issue. After two days and several of their technicians problem was solved! I highly recommend this system because the picture quality is top notch and their support team goes above and beyond!

System was easy to setup and hardware is very durable. Found this system to be a vast improvement over our previous 1080 setup due to the clarity of the pictures, the ease of accessing remotely (app picture attached), set up, and especially the one cord PoE. We ran some cat 6 cable to the camera's further than 100 feet away and they work like a charm. Local monitor installed is 4k compliant but even on the 1080p monitor setting the video feed is so clear can read words at a distance.

So much better picture quality than my old 1080p system. I purchased 2 of the 20x zoom cameras to add to the system and love them as well. Well worth the money and exceeded expectations.

This is the 3rd CCTV system that I have owned. I have always wanted a 4k system so I started researching. I came across the Onwote 16 Channel POE system. I installed the system which is very easy with the ethernet cables. I couldn't believe how clear the cameras were. I have them running on a 65 inch tv which is 4k also. You can see the blades of grass on the lawn. License plates on cars are no problem. Videos of people walking down the street are crystal clear. If you want quality products and easy to install then I recommend this Onwote POE system. Technical support is available and top notch. Onwote really cares about their customers and their products.
