I had to hit it with a hammer more than the guy on youtube, but control arm=replacement would be impossible without this tool.

Tried to separate the joint with a hammer and pickle fork. Using the air hammer and pickle fork came part very quickly.

If you plan to install your own ball joints or tie rod ends then this is for you! It has 3 different size forks and two rods, one for air tool and the other is for striking. These will hold up under pressure and should withstand hard blows from your hammer. They are easy to use but if your unsure you can always find a video on YouTube showing how to use a pickle fork!

Got this tool set to replace the outer tie rod ends on my car and it made the job a snap. Since I was replacing the entire outer tie rod, I didn’t have to worry about marring the rubber boot on it, so I was able to just bang away with my mini sledgehammer. The tool feels really solid and I believe that it should last many more uses. As the owner of an older car, I know that I’m going to be using this tool pretty often and I’m super happy to have it in my toolbox. And it seems like it’s a really great value too.
