This is my second time purchasing this bag for I lost the first one a couple months back. It’s a beautiful bag that actually gets complements now and again. Not that that’s important, just that no other stick bags have prompted anyone to comment, either positive or negative. Being a musician in NY, my bag is often strapped to my person and exposed to the weather. As a heads up, you might notice discoloring when wet. It is simply the oils the company coats the bag with coming off. Any off putting patterns will go away once the bag drys, leaving no unwanted marks behind. The instructions that come with the bag give tips on how to replenish the oils that hydrate the leather every couple months or so. Again, an issue certain musicians have to face, but of you drive to rehearsal or plan to have this bag live in a studio, etc. This is not an issue you’ll likely run into and definitely not a reason not to get this bag. Aside from the wonderful look, the functionality is well thought out. A good stick bag has to fit the quantity of sticks needed for any particular gig, which for this author, this bag does. A great stick bag however, hooks onto my floor-tom in seconds for easy access to the bags contents during a show. And the hooking mechanism for this bag makes that process insanely easy to do. And seconds off of my set up time are precious and appreciated wherever they can be found. I’d imagine this would make a lovely gift for any working drummers in your life. For all the drummers looking at this for themselves, get it. You’ll not regret it.

Pros: 1) Very high quality zippers. 2) Splendid saddlebag leather to impress your friends. 3) Good price for a snazzy stick case. Cons: 1) Doesn’t hang well on a floor Tom. 2) Doesn't have a back prop or stand. 3) Sticks, mallets, brushes felt “crowded.” A very nice case for quality and looks, but the functionality is on the lame side. I gave mine to away to a younger percussionist and decided to get something slimmer. There are some round “drum” style cases out there what stand upright, but are a bit hard to come by (wonder why?)

Things I love about this leather stick bag- Gorgeous leather High quality craftsmanship Hand oiled smell/look Roomy It makes me smile when I use it 😊 Things I scratch my head over- Why aren’t the leather straps adjustable? Overall I’m so happy with this stick bag. I make it work to fit my floor tom. I put the hooks from my old stick bag on the two strings to add a couple more securely-fitting attachments to my floor tom.

Surprisingly nice drumstick bag! The leather can feel little "vinyl-y" but I do believe it's real leather. The outside pocket is wider than expected, which is really nice, because I can even fit my Tune-Bot in there and zip it closed. The bigger straps wrap perfectly around my 13" canister throne - giving me a great option to either connect it to my throne or use the ties to connect it to the floor tom. I'm very happy with this purchase - it's probably the best deal of any drumstick bag. I did see that one of the other reviewers said that the zipper was the wrong way, and one of the clips on the strap was broken - his must have been defective or had some sort of manufacturing issue, because mine zips correct (as shown in the pics) so that you could unzip it just a little and get sticks in/out - and I don't see any physical problems with the bag at all. A very nice purchase!

I just unboxed my WerKens Hand Made Genuine Leather Drumstick Bag and I only have one word to say, "WOW" I have been a professional touring/teaching/performing percussionist for over 30 years and I have a plethora of stick backs/cases/holders and I must admit this is the BEST BUY I HAVE PURCHASED! I put this stick back on level of my brown reunion blues leather stick bag that I purchased many years ago (and paid more for and is no longer available to be purchased) and it is very nice. This is one of the best kept secrets in the drum community. I immediately switched my drumming arsenal into this bag to start carrying. It is so nice to see a quality product at a reasonably price for the"working musician"

Best thing I have bought lately for my set up. When I whip it out on stage people look at my like "He must be good". I have had other bags, but they did not come close to the quality of this one. Another thing I really like about this stick bag is the rich leather smell. On the way to a show it makes the car smell of rich luxurious tanned leather. When I hook it to the floor tom in my studio it makes the room smell like a Wilson's Leather shop from the mall in the 80's. But seriously this is the best stick bag I have ever had the pleasure of purchasing. A++++

Drummers, buy this bag. I just got it in the mail and its way more beautiful and robust than I expected, and I have high expectations. I haven't toured with it yet, but as solid as it is, I can't imagine it not holding up. It's beautiful, the price is unbelievable (don't tell the manufacturer, but it should be at least twice the price), and the shipping was ultra fast. Seriously, this is an awesome bag. Check my other posts and you'll see I don't rave much about anything. Buy this bag, and though it's a little late for Christmas, if you have a significant other who is a drummer, this is the perfect gift. A drummer for over 50 years!
