Where do I start? I have been a pit boss grill owner for years and like everybody have been struggling with temperatures inside smoke coming out the pellet bin pellet swelling in the auger between uses burn pots that are difficult to clean out. Now I bought this Oklahoma Joe on a flash sale not going to lie. I am beyond pleased with my purchase. The smoke level is awesome. It is extremely well put together it is not cheap thin tin. The wheels are steel with steel spokes. It comes with two probes but you can actually use four it has two racks above the grill area when they're not in use you can hang them on the hooks on the back of the smoker. The racks are adjustable so that's awesome as well. What really tickles me is that when I'm done smoking or grilling whatever it is that we are dining on that evening on the left side I pull a handle and all the pellets drop out of the bin into a square bucket underneath I then put a lid on it and bring it in the garage and set it down. I press the button that turns it off and it burns out the auger leaving it clear so no pellets swell up inside. Now if the burn pot gets full for some reason when is cool you reach underneath the belly of the smoker and you unscrew the stainless steel burn pot and empty it out and then screw it back on. Not cheap tin good quality stainless steel. For $40 more I bought the Oklahoma Joe grill cover I'll be riding a review about it as well Love it love it love it. This smoker has changed my game. I forgot to mention that heavy duty cast iron grill plates you just can't go wrong with the Oklahoma Joe.

Greate grill at an awesome price! I have been a standard Weber Charcoal Kettle Grill guy for 25 years, so I was a little skeptical of the pellet grills to start with. They all felt cheap and lightweight compared to their hefty price tags. This Oaklahoma Joe's DLX1200 is well built with quality materials, this thing is heavy and feels solid. I was looking for a grill that would sear like a Weber Grill, but also smoke. This thing sear's like a champ, New York Steaks, Ahi Tuna Steaks, Chicken, Veggies. I've done them all in the month and half I have had this grill with excellent results. Slow it down and Smoke, I've done a Pork Butt for Pulled Pork and a half dozen Beef Tri-Tips all of which turned out excellent. Other things I like about grill, the bottom grilling rack is all thick cast iron, so it holds heat for searing. Keep them clean and oiled and food doesn't stick. Emptying the hopper is super easy, just pull the handle and the bucket provided that slides into a holder at the bottom of the hopper will catch all the pellets. The bucket will hold a 20-lb. bag of pellets, so I have purchased 3 more buckets from Oklahoma Joe's, one for each flavor of pellets I plan on keeping. The large damper handle makes it easy to control the heat and its clearly labeled SEAR and SMOKE for adjusting the damper over the fire pot. I would suggest to anyone searing with this grill, keep a spray bottle with water close by as you will get grease fires from fat dripping on the diffuser. Makes for putting out the fire quick and simple without ruining your meal. Last item, anyone wanting a heavier smoke, i would suggest purchasing a Smoke Tube for additional smoke generation. I already had one I used with my Weber and have already used it with this grill. It's an excellent grill and I would purchase it again. Year and a half, still loving my Oaklahoma Grill. Us it several times a week.

I had an Oklahoma Joe 1200 for a few years until I finally wore it out. Purchased a new one because I was so pleased with the one I had. The new one has given me nothing but trouble. The first week I was replacing ignitors. I’ve gone through several ignitors/ fuses. Oklahoma Joe finally sent me a new board which seemed to have worked for a while until I tried to smoke on it. I am back to replacing ignitors again. Quality has gone down on this product from my original purchase and I will not buy another one.

I've had this grill for almost 6 months now, been grilling once a week. I won't lie, I wish I had returned it before the return window closed. Amazon assembled the grill, and the grill worked for about a month before having issues. The saving grace of this grill is the warranty from OK Joes. With how many parts needed to replaced within the My experience - The grill worked great at first, starting up in only 5 minutes, and the smoke it imparts is delightful. The searing feature works well enough, however I wouldn't set the grill to it's max searing temp of 650f as that leads to future problems with the igniter. Luckily Ok Joes/ charbroil were able to send me replacements for when the igniter dies. Over the course of these 6 months oklahoma joes has sent me 3 igniters, and a control board. I sold my 3 year old Pitboss to get this grill. I only had to replace the igniter once on the Pitboss. The way this grill consumes igniter rods is perplexing to put it nicely. ER 2- You'll know when you're igniter rod is about to blow when the displays shows ER 2. I started getting this error within the 1st month of use.

This smoker has been great. I have a drum smoker, but when convenience is key you can't beat this thing. Depending on the pellet used it will run 25 hotter than what it is set for. But that just has needed to turn it down and it stays spot on. Smoked great and gives a really good smoke ring and flavor depending on the pellet used. Competition blends are cheap for a reason and smoke the worst out of any pellet.

This grill is awesome!, the temperature is kept under control since it has two temperature proves, one near the flame and one for the air, it is very easy to operate and it is heavy duty. I have used it two times and I am very happy with it!
