I have high pile carpet that is almost impossible to roll a chair over without a maximum amount of effort. This chair mat makes rolling around really easy and feels really solid underfoot. Its long enough that i can move around my desk space before I roll off, and even if i do, its not so much of a drop that its jarring. I was surprised by the cost. great value for the money as I know that there are a lot more expensive options out there.

I've owned vinyl and wood based floor mats and I'm a big guy (6'2, 300lbs). Was getting sick of vinyl and wood mats that slowly got destroyed over time. After cutting my toe on a curled up edge of vinyl mat I decided to take the chance on this and I'm glad I did. The mat came well packaged with multiple layers of thin sheet foam. Unfortunately this means there's a bit of waste left over but nothing too bad (Not like buying a grill or something). It's a little heavy so some people may need assistance with moving it and getting it into place. Once in place it works perfectly. I haven't noticed it sliding at all on my carpet. It just does it's job. I've bought wood mats for similar to higher prices that haven't worked as well as this does. I couldn't be happier with this purchase!

I'll start off by saying I've only had it a day so far, but I plan on revisiting this after some time. If you're trying to decide between glass and plastic on carpet, it's no comparison at all... I can't BELIEVE I took this long to go to glass. It doesn't matter what plastic one you get, you'll be disappointed. This rolls better, stays in place better... it just doesn't even compare... don't waste your money by trying to save on plastic. The sooner you change, the happier you'll be. I'll revisit and update later on durability, but I'm thrilled with it so far.

Very strong, does not slide on carpet, no curling, and allows chair to roll easily. I was reluctant to have glass under my chair and my feet. I wish I purchased a long time ago, as it would have saved me a lot of money having to replace every year or two plastic and vinyl mats. On carpet they sag under weight, wheels from chairs indent and hard to roll, and edges of mat curl up causing tripping hazards. Glass is definitely the way to go on carpet and save a lot of money in long run
