My children got new desks with chairs that roll. We have hardwood floors in their rooms and didn’t want the chairs to scratch the wood. We purchased these mats in hopes that they would prevent major scratching over time. So far, they are great! They arrived unrolled so they were able to lay flat immediately. They are very translucent, so we can still see the beauty of the floors. Love that you can order different sizes, the size was perfect for the space. While they grip to the ground and don’t slide, you can also easily move them if needed. They are easy to clean, too. The kids love that they can still still roll around and the mat doesn’t impede their living space. Great product!

UPDATE: after 2 months, on an antique brick, which means ROUGH SURFACE, and my rear on a rollie chair, this has worked flawlessly, with NO tears, bunching, sliding, etc. I have had a ton of foot traffic over these, and not one issue. These things are very well made. CON: SHIPPING. While it is shipped flat, the issue is the bunching that happens. So, if not carried flat by UPS, you will too, wrestle the Godzilla like monster that is, these really great mats. This is the 4 star reason. You will then need to lay them out in the sun, to let them go back flat. This morning is into the 2nd day of Ohio's 90 degree sunshine, so, it's about flat, all 4 sheets. Yes, I have bricks on them, because they are going onto a 145 year old brick floor. They have to stand up. I will update this, as needed. PRO:. Made well. Easy cut Cheap Prime shipping that HAS to cost an arm and a leg. Ouch. They have stood up to my rigorous 4 Cattle dog testing, so far, and lots of water, to clean up paw marks! I do highly recommend these, for the price, and ease.

I've had the large mat down for about two weeks and am very happy. The concern raised by others about getting it to unroll and lie flat is real. I took the advice of some and let it lie in the sun on the deck for a few hours and then quickly brought it to my home office while still somewhat soft and put some books on the ridges. While minor ridges remain, they are not causing a functional inconvenience. I am sure over time and with the chair rolling around they will disappear. My advice to the company would be, a) store these flat and don't roll each until being prepped for shipping which will give less time for the "memory" in the plastic to adapt to being rolled, and b) get on top of what is obviously the major product5 complaint and insert a note with advice about how to unroll and make flat. All this being said, it is well conceived and made and is doing its job well and I give it five stars.

I purchased this floor mat to rest on a vinyl strip floor. There is a heavy chair that sits on it. The mat came rolled up in a box, but I had no issues getting it to lay flat. It has no odors and is very clear that you can see the floor through it. It does tend to shift as the chair moves on it.

I am using this for a new lazyboy power rocker chair on hardwood floors - shall I say new hardwood floors. The lazyboy chair has wood rails - not feet so I thought this was best to protect the floor and keep it from sliding around. I also like the fact its clear, thick enough and it came in a box ready to put down (not rolled up). That was HUGE for me. It is completely flat, I can see my beautiful wood floors and the lazyboy chair has no chance of destroying them! This was a good buy - it is a bit longer than the chair - and I was a bit worried it would be too long - but because it is see through - its fine and I think better because the chair will stay put. I researched a lot of solutions for a lazy boy with wood rail bottoms - and this turned out to be a winner!
