It’s a good chair mat. Comes rolled up, so get a helper when you’re ready to roll it out. Takes a bit before it lays flat. I’d buy it again!

Update December 21st 2023: After 3 weeks, I can sadly report that this mat doesn't stay flat, and while in the beginning, it was only the sides that rose up, now the center is coming up as well. Too bad, because I thought it had good potential to be a solution for me. Update December 9th 2023: Lowered to 3 stars. I should have remained skeptical. Unfortunately, it doesn't stay fully flat. You can still roll on it, but the edges are not sitting flat on the floor. Even with having books hold them down for a few days as the manufacturer wants you to do, it does not stay flat. See the last picture. :( -Ronny Original review: The short version: This is a great product and it does exactly what it claims to do. I highly recommend it. I used to have a floor mat that was semi-transparent and made of hard plastic. This product comes rolled up, and you have to open it and let it flatten for 24 hours. I followed the instructions to the letter, and you can see in the pictures how I set up things to help me flatten it out. It's now 15 hours after I put it down, and it's already 95% flat. See the picture. I rolled my chair on it, and it was smooth as butter. I also sat on the chair and was able to smoothly roll on it, so it works even with weight on it. I got the 63" x 51" size which covers the width of my desk. As I wrote above, I was very skeptical but this worked very well and I would highly recommend it.

This mat seemed thinner than I expected, It may be that the chair I got had casters that had sharp single edges that are cutting into the mat. I bought this because it said it was for long carpet. Once you sit one the chair, You can't roll around.

This mat is just fine. I've used plenty over the years and this one looks the same. They all deteriorate eventually and break in pieces from wear, so I suspect I'll get about two years out of this one. They all come cold and wound up. The secret is to put it in a tub of hot water for a few minutes, then lay it out flat to cool. Easy.

I received this SALLOUS Clear Chair Mat for Hard Floors on (03/06/25.) It never did lay completely flat on my floor, because it is too thin. I had (6) heavy books on the edges for over a week. Finally, I contacted SALLOUS about this on (03/26/25.) Response was that they offer no thicker version of the mat, & I should contact Amazon Customer Service for assistance. The return window was 30-days, and the mat is large. (63" x 51") Instead of that hassle, today I ordered another mat, and will just eat the cost of the one in question.
