I've been using these mats for YEARS! They last a fantastically long time, and it takes a lot of pressure to wear it down. Whatever plastic they're using for these is sturdy stuff. It came wrapped up in a slender box, and the instructions say to make sure you have another pair of hands to help you unwrap it. The mat is crazy heavy when its rolled up and incredibly difficult to unroll by yourself. I do highly recommend getting someone else to help, especially since it likes to re-roll if there's nothing holding it down. Speaking of which, you'll need some heavy books (or furniture) to keep the ends from rolling up. But after a day or two under heavy weight, it stays in place. It's easy to keep clean and camouflages very well with the environment since it's clear plastic. It's also a great size to fit into most places! I can't recommend this product enough!

I was a bit skeptical about this because there aren't many option of these and the reviews aren't the best overall but I desperately needed one for my office as I just moved into a room that now has carpet and my chair wouldn't roll. I ended up with this one and I haven't had any problems with it's durability so far. I was worried it would crack like some people have had in the other reviews but so far, I've been using it for 2 months and haven't had any issues. It does slightly move over time so you do end up having to adjust it back into place once a month or so but so far it's been good. I do wish the price was a bit cheaper though. These things are pretty expensive. I will update later on if I ever have any issues with it.

⭐️ Overall Rating: 3 out of 5 Stars The HON Office Chair Mat for Carpeted Floors is a decent option for basic floor protection, but it falls short when it comes to stability and durability. It looks well-made at first glance and does a good job of shielding the carpet from wear, but in daily use, it struggles to stay in place and tends to dent under the chair’s weight. For a product designed to make rolling easier, it ends up doing the opposite. ⸻ 🪟 Design & Appearance The mat itself has a clean, professional look — clear with a light texture that blends in nicely with most office setups. It’s designed for use on carpeted surfaces and includes small cleats or grips underneath that are meant to keep it from sliding. The material feels sturdy enough when unboxed, with a slightly flexible but thick plastic composition that promises long-term use. Update: I was able to get it rolled out and flat. It’s still not all the way flat a week later. But my biggest complaint is that when I sit in my chair, it is so flimsy that the wheels of my chair make an indent and you can’t roll. I weigh 200 pounds. The average man weighs 200 pounds. So it’s just a cheap product. This is by far the worst thing I’ve ever bought. And I would return it, but I don’t know how to get it in the box when it was so hard to get it out of the box I would give this less than a one star!!! I do not appreciate buying something that is not ready to use. This product comes in a relatively small box rolled up. It is very, very, very difficult to deal with. First thing you have to do is let it sit at room temperature for four hours. Well, that did nothing. Then they recommend that two people are required to lay it on the floor. That doesn’t go along with my plan, I’m old and my roommate is even older. Then once you supposedly get it flat, you’re supposed to place heavy objects on it for 24 hours. They suggest laying heavy books on it. I don’t have any heavy books to lay on this stupid thing that’s not ready to use . I’m on day two and I can’t get it unrolled more than 12 inches. I have it outside in the sun right now and if that doesn’t work, I’m rolling it up putting it in the box and returning it.
