I was impressed by how well they packed this to protect it. I took 9 photos of tears and holes in the box, some shots captured multiple tears, yet no damage at all. I have a fairly thick berber carpet and the mat feels solid, like there's no carpet under it. I'm about 220 lbs with a 40 lb chair, and I'm at my desk about 12-14 hours per day. it's working better than any other mat I've owned. I like the look of it (got the smoked glass version, 55 x 45). I did not receive the pads that prevent slipping but after a week, it's still right where I put it. I'm still careful to not drop anything on it, and avoid putting pressure (chair wheels, feet) close to the edges since force at the edge is not distributed the same as farther in. ... show more

The quality of the glass mat itself is excellent. Installed it with a little help to prevent it from flexing/breaking. I guess time will tell how long it will hold up. It did not come with the anti-slip pads like advertised. No answer from the vendor, so I contacted Amazon. They tried to contact as well, without success. They refunded me a few bucks so I could purchase my own. Irritating, but not a deal-breaker. ... show more

I’ve worn out two plastic chair mats in the past plus the plastic mats did not work as well. My chair would not roll well and once they developed cracks, they were useless. This glass may not only looks great but is easier to clean and my chair rolls well. I really like this mat.
