I wanted to wait and use this mat at least a year before writing a review about this product. I love it!!! For the last 20 years since I retired I've been wasting my money every 6 months trying to get a decent chair mat for my home office, I think I found it! I'm 6'3" and 210 lbs. and I've been cracking every chair mat I purchased for years. I spend a lot of time in front of my computer everyday and this mat is fantastic. The tempered glass is awesome and the chair glides easily on the glass, no sharp edges. However, if you have a carpeted floor the mat will slide a bit, so it might need some readjustment every once in a while, I have my mat in a way which cannot move since it's surrounded by my desk and a couple of bookcases, so it has nowhere to go. The glass mat does come with some anti-slide transparent rubber stickers but they don't do a very good job on carpets, they would probably do a better job on a wood floor. Lastly, this mat is extremely heavy and you might need some help placing it down, I tried to do it on my own and it was a big mistake, it took me forever and I almost broke my back, so get some help. Would I buy it again if it breaks (which I really doubt)? yes, I would.

This glass floor mat completely changed how I feel about sitting at my desk. I was tired of those cheap plastic mats that sink into the carpet and make it hard to move. With this one, I glide effortlessly—sometimes a little too easily! The 36x46 size is perfect for my setup, and even when my chair rolls off the edge, it’s never cracked or chipped. It has a bit of flex, which gives me confidence it won’t break under pressure, and it’s way more affordable than the name brands I’ve seen advertised. Cleaning is a breeze, and it looks sleek in the office. My only small gripe is that it slides a bit from all my movement, so I end up readjusting it each morning—but that’s a minor trade-off for how well it performs. TBH, the plastic ones did it too, and more. Easily one of the best buys I’ve made for my workspace.

I loved how well this glass chair mat was packaged - it arrived safe and intact, giving me a great first impression. I had been using a vinyl mat on my carpet before, and this tempered glass mat is a completely different experience. Unlike the vinyl mat, it lets me roll my desk chair effortlessly in any direction. It feels smooth, sturdy, and high-quality underfoot. It’s also incredibly strong - one of my drawers even stands on it, and the mat handles the weight perfectly without any issues. I’m so glad I finally bought it - I only wish I had done it sooner!

Working great. The only reason I left only 4 stars is because these glass floor mats are very heavy. Or at least for old retired folks anyway. They were left laying down on the front porch. Fedex did not ring the door bell, nor knock on the door. Not really sure how long they layed on our porch. Just wish we had gone a bit wider.

I bought this for my son. He needed a floor mat for his desk chair. I wanted to get him something that would last him a long time on different types of flooring and for his chair to move easily. He has a thick carpet in his room now, but who knows in the future. My son was concerned when he saw that it was made of glass, even though it is tempered, that it would break. I am happy to report my son has been using it daily for about two months and absolutely loves it!! Not one scratch or crack. His chair glides smoothly no matter the direction. Now, his dad and older brother want one!! Great product!! Need I say more?!

A wonderful find! My wife has a similar large floor mat for her desk. But I required a smaller size due to the location of my desk. Then we found this one, the perfect size. I had prior types of desk chair mats that didn’t work out. One had like a heavy cardboard backing behind the thin Berber carpet which tended to slide, and visiting family members pets thought it looked like a pet pad :-(. We replaced that with a rubber backed upholstered mat that would shift and trip people. This one has none of those issues. (I did notice that our Roomba got confused trying to ‘see’ the floor as in crossed across, but just an amusing anecdote, not a real problem. It remains in place. It stays clean. It does NOT trip people walking near my chair - like others have. It looks sharp and clean, it is sturdy as I weight over 300 lbs.

One could not have a better chair mat: heavy but solid as a rock, supportive of an executive office chair-no depressions or ruts as in plastic ones and highly chip, crack and scratch resistant (none so far!) It also fits well and looks very professional in my office. After returning several plastic mats that didn't live up to their promises, this tempered glass one hit a home run. It's worth the investment!
