  • Best wheels for hardwood floors
The wheels have lasted through multiple chairs. Easy to install. Great movement on hard surfaces.

  • Great upgrades
These a great for upgrading your chair wheels. They are much sturdier than the cheap casters that come on most chairs. They are sturdier and have better clearance when rolling over uneven surfaces, like hard floors to carpets or when working around debris like wood shavings. Highly recommend.

  • Will bite your feet!
The functionality of these casters is great to say the least. They are quiet, easy to install and let your office chair roll around like an ice skate. The downside that nobody's talking about is that if you use your chair without shoes on and you happen to have your foot on the wheel, then move somewhere, it will suck your skin between the wheel and the frame and it hurts like the Dickens! I'm guessing most people don't have office chairs at home or they're keeping their shoes on at work like normal people would (I'm looking at you office weirdos, put your shoes back on) and is simply will not be a problem. ... show more

  • Perfect fit and great quality
We had new wood flooring installed and I was looking for an alternative to the hard plastic wheels on my desk chair to protect the new floor. I came across these wheels and decided to give them a try. The installation was super easy. The wheels are absolutely quiet and glide beautifully on the new flooring without leaving a mark or any kind of wear pattern in the wood. Highly recommend these as a replacement for standard chair wheels. Very happy with this purchase! ... show more

  • Complete and Honest Review...
So, I have a very nice chair with the standard wheels on it in my office. Recently I replaced the flooring in my ofice with hardwood and was concerned about the wheel scratching the new floor. I also did not care for the idea of the floor protection mat as I did not want any discoloration to occur over the years. Looking on Amazon I came across the OPTTICO replacement wheels. Based on the reviews and relatively inexpensive cost I thought I would give them a try. A few days later the box arrived with my new shiny wheels. The wheels reminded me of wheels found on your typical roller blades or razor scooter. The existing wheels pulled out relatively easy and I replaced them with the OPTTICO by simply pushing them into the existing holes with zero issues. I flipped the chair over and began using my see OPTTICO enhanced chair. The reviews mentioned that their chairs moved much easier with the new wheels…What they should have said was, "exchanging your wheels with the OPTTICO wheels is similar to becoming a newborn giraffe learning to walk on a frozen pond". Simple tasks such as pushing myself away from the computer to stand up, turned into a game of full body table hockey. Unfortunately, and I suppose fortunately, my office is relatively small so the damage from crashing into the walls, although destructive, was confined to a relatively small area of the house. To alleviate this issue, I placed a household’s amount of couch cushions around the inside perimeter of the office, thus limiting the damage to the walls and more importantly the bruising to my body. Within a few hours of further abuse, I began to learn to compensate for the relatively friction-less movement of the chair and regained the confidence I once had regarding my ability to sit down and not loose all bodily functions due to the stress of such an activity. As the confidence blossomed in my soul, I began experimenting with controlled rotations and gentle re-directions off the various cushions. I would compare it to being weightless aboard the space shuttle or the first time. Needless to say, after the initial learning curve I became a ease and I will add my positive review of the OPTTIC replacement wheels to the other reviewers. I would recommend to the manufacture that additional cautionary instructions be provided for those intending to use the chair on hardwood floors due to zero friction mentioned above. On a side note, within a few months of my neighbors and friends coming over to use the chair (mostly for my entertainment) we formed a neighborhood office chair racing club. It is very similar to a soap box derby cart, if you took the same cart and added a 454 Chevy big block to it, took away any possibility of steering and the ability to brake in any fashion. To OPTTICO, please consider changing the name back to the OPTTICO “Holy crap these wheels are going to kill someone dumb enough to use them for racing office chairs“ wheels as I am sure that it was they call them at the R&D headquarters while bouncing around the couch cushioned lined conference room. ... show more

  • simple fast effective
took more time to pull out the old wheels i had than installing these casters, they are nice smooth as soft icecream if youre used to using stock casters youre in for a ride i wasn't ready for these when i pushed off from my desk and flew halfway across my office, with my old casters it would have been a 16in push. they are sensitive almost like sitting on ice but controllable just takes time to get the feel for them unlike what i was using. im sure i will be pleased looking at my old casters and seeing how much dirt and other stuff i had caked on the wheels im sure this will be a huge improvement ... show more

  • Great at first but evetually deformed.
Bought these almost 2 years ago. At first they worked great, smooth and quiet. Then after a few months they started to get less smooth, and more and more squeaky. Now they are very hard to roll and turn on. Maybe it's because I am a bigger guy ( 6'4" 280+) but I think the wheels are too tall and the structure is too weak to handle long term use. As you can see from my photo all 5 of them have started to bend and the wheels rub against the sides. I'm going to try a shorter set with 2 wheels per caster, just the ones that normally come with the office chairs in the first place. ... show more

  • Its on carpet much easier to move out the way.
Better than the standard wheels if you're trying to get the chair to be a little more mobile across any surface.
