I use my cushion every day for anywhere from 2 to 9 hours consecutively while using my computer! When I did not have it, I would get severe pain in across my back in a 4 inch wide band at the level of my shoulder blades. This back/seat pad has helped me to sit for these long periods without getting these pains. It "encourages" me to sit up straighter than normal--reducing slouching--reducing pain in my lower back. I would not hesitate to recommend this to my family and friends and likewise to you shoppers looking and hoping to find something that really works. The back/seat pad is made extremely sturdy and supports my whole back and buttox. The fabric is also sturdy and very tightly woven. And, it is sewn together with extreme strength.     • Not quite what I was expecting
This thing is more a pillow than a seat. It says it can be used anywhere, but that anywhere needs to be shaped like a chair with a back. The thing came vacuum sealed to compress the memory foam to save space and the way it folded small didn't bode well. Cut it open and waited a day for the foam to uncompress. So the entire thing is too soft and you need a chair to actually give support, it can't provide it on its own. If you tighten the two straps it really does nothing, the straps just dig into the soft foam and the back kinda collapses down(picture a skinny belt cinched tight around a ordinary pillow). If there's no chair back or wall and you lean back, you're basically going to fall backwards. It says you can use it on the floor, but no way unless its on the floor against the wall. Shame because i'm a sports photographer and sitting cross legged on the floor alot, i was hoping for something that could give me back support. If they maybe offered some plastic inserts to stiffen it or redesigned the way the straps attached to spread out the forces so it doesn't just squish the foam in. As for the performance itself, it offers pretty good comfort and lumbar support. It only covers the lower back so it would be nice to lean shoulders back too. The butt portion is more shaped to fit your body than typical chairs. If i were to do it again i'd probably get a tall backed chair with good lumbar support and get just a shaped cushion for the bottom. For now its being used by my elderly father while he exercises with a desk cycle. The pedal motion hurts his tailbone and the thick cushion alleviates that ... show more

I was preparing for a long plane ride so I bought this, figuring I could make an economy seat more comfortable. Well, it worked — almost. The problem is that the seats on this airline — famous for the least legroom in the industry — isn't suitable for this kind of product. It actually reduced the legroom as it pushed me forward. I felt totally cramped. Fortunately, I was able to move to a better seat and it worked okay. When I got back home, I tossed the seat in my car and it has worked beautifully. I've had to adjust some things as I now sit a bit higher, but it's very comfortable. I can't wait to use it the next time I have a long drive. The seat is also very good for an office chair. I like the ability to adjust the lumbar area for back support. Since I'm in the office chair for several hours a day and don't drive every day, I'll likely bring it inside the house. The construction is good, and it just works. Note: This is not a small and flimsy unit. It has some weight to it, which I'm sure contributes to its benefits. ... show more

I WOULD AVOID THIS COMPANY AS THEY DO NOT OFFER ASSISTANCE AFTER PURCHASE! I purchased my first lifted lumbar November 2024. “That” item was everything it was advertised to be. I used it when driving, sitting at my desk, and even when sitting up in bed. It preformed as advertised & was a quality item - so much so my sister begged me for it and I gave it to her. BUT- the product I ordered July 6, 2025 was TOTALLY THE OPPOSITE OF THE ABOVE. It was misshaped, lumpy, poor quality material & honestly looked like a totally different item altogether ( like a cheap knock-off). I contacted the small business manufacturer as stated in the large pamphlet included in the box. I included my concerns, requested assistance, & provided pictures. No one- and I mean NO ONE responded to several requests over a week &1/2 period. Finally, I wrote to the kickstarter and I finally got a response from the “small business manufacturer” Dr. Trigger and it was not nice. They accused me of “ taking up valuable time they could be using to assist other customers “…wow, like they got their money & your no longer a concern, “ “they are a small business & it takes time” … wow, it only take a few seconds for an honest response. “ My “ threats” do not help… threats? I suppose if exercising your rights as a consumer constitutes “ threatening activity” then Dr. Trigger & associates are in the wrong business. I told them if I did not receive a response ( I gave them more than a week) I would contact Amazon ( bc this business sells its product as a 3 rd party but Amazon ships it & it is a prime item) and inform them that the business will not respond, the product is defective, not as advertised, & request resolution from Amazon. I did remind Amazon these sellers represent “ Amazon’s commitment” to deliver quality products. I received a product that I would not have paid a dollar for. But it was the “ small business” non- customer service that stood out and how they actually admonished the customer to exercise their rights as a consumer- their response was the “ threat “! Trying to harass a customer to “ not” report is shameful AND they never once apologized for the defective product. They did request my address “ so the could send another item - bc I should understand that sometimes these product to not fully decompress “. Yes, some compressed products do not fully decompress but it’s the companies responsibility to ensure replacement or return your money. I never received a response after I sent my address NOR HAVE I RECEIVED A REPLACEMENT OR MY MONEY BACK. Amazon did tell me they would send a replacement & if the replacement is of the same poor quality as the original they will refund my money and escalate the information to their quality control. ... show more

Wow, I'm impressed! I've had back problems for over 50 years and over the past eight years, which included a significant hip, leg and back injury, sitting for more than 10 minutes at a time really stiffens the lower back muscles. I do a fair amount of music research and editing for my guitar playing, so sitting has been problematic. I got the Lumbar Lift a couple of days ago and let it decompress for about 36 hours before using it. (NOTE: It comes in a vacuum sealed bag, so it needs time to fully decompress back to normal size. It does have an unusual odor to it when as it inflates, so I let it decompress out in the garage. I can't detect any order now.) I set it up on the "lumbar friendly" office chair I have been using for a few years, sat for about 45 minutes at the computer and then stood right up with NO stiffness or pain in the lower back. I moved it to a recliner chair, watched TV for 30 minutes and again, up with NO stiffness or pain. I'm taking this sucker with me everywhere I go. ... show more
