When you take it out of the package, it is questionable. I opened it and thought, “there’s no way this is going to be what I ordered,” because of how flat it was. HOWEVER, after a few hours (or several, I can’t remember), it was exactly what I was wanting. The footrest is very comfortable and is great if you have short legs like me, or have bad hips/back. I have long legs and an adjacent apartment with a shared wall. My normal foot rest is a metal plate that rocks on a swivel, which can bang into the wall if I'm not paying attention. I got this to have a foot rest that is comfortable and won't bother my neighbors. It works okay, but the metal plate one is better. What I like about this is that it's fairly sturdy and it does what I want it to, which is support my feet without risking making lots of noise. The cover comes off and goes back on easily and there are no issues with washing, though I've only washed it once (if it falls apart I will update with pics). My two gripes about this are that it could be wider, maybe an additional 5", but I have long legs so this is probably just a 'me' problem, and that it could be heavier. I know it sounds odd, but a foot rest that is overly light feels easy to knock around and I may just be used to the metal one, which weights considerably more than this.
