I broke my tailbone 6 months ago. This was the fourth cushion I tried and I've never gone back. It is the most comfortable, providing immediate pain relief. At 5'5" and 230 pounds, this is the only cushion I've used that is thick enough to keep my tailbone from touching the surface of what I'm sitting on. The cushion has held up very well. I have used it every day, for up to 10 hours a day, since I bought it four months ago. For comparison, the cushion I purchased at a medical supply store ripped within two months. The fabric on this cushion is similar to many desk chairs. I personally find this fabric scratchy, so I put a velvet desk chair seat cover over it. It's bulky for traveling, but worth it! This cushion is so good I'm actually buying a second one!

This is the best of its category by far. Good for a larger person like me because it’s wider and thicker than other products. Very comfortable and good quality. The wider gap helps to relieve the pressure on the tailbone better than other products. Supports the glutes and hamstrings rather than the tail bone area. I’ve purchased other products with similar features, but this one covers it all. I threw out or donated the previous products I purchased. I currently use this with my Xchair and in my LayZBoy recliner.

As a Dermatologist Caring for Heavier Patients, I Highly Recommend this Cushion for doctors, nurses & patients! I have been looking for a comfortable cushion especially for myself & my XL patients with lower back issues, hemorrhoids, or sometimes coccyx niggles which makes it impossible for them to sit. I am thrilled that I finally found something which is working so well!! This cushion has truly been a game-changer in the last few days. It seems to provides exceptional comfort and support, especially for XL/medium patients who may experience discomfort after butt issues due to which long hours of sitting becomes hard. I'm glad that I bought this, as sitting long hours driving a school bus has made my lower left thigh area right around my butt hurt sometimes. The only relief I have is to stop the pressure. My old seat cushion did it for awhile, but I guess that it wasn't thick enough, as I started getting that pain again. This cushion has given me comfort from that painful feeling, and as long as I position it correctly, I'm great. That's the thing though: I couldn't get comfortable using this as designrd because the hole (cutout) is just too big. I finally figured out that the best way that it works for me is to reverse the direction and put the "hole" area in front (with the wedge facing backwards). That way, I am able to push the "legs" of the cushion inward a little bit to the area that needs pressure relief and drive for hours without that same pain coming on. If they could design it a little more circular, with more thigh relief in mind and less about the butt area, it would be perfect for me. That being said, I hope that the wedge area holds up because there is less cushion there in the way that I'm using it. For me, they could have designed that part just as thick as the rest of the cushion. It's good so far though. I'm using it backwards and using pressure to keep it all in place for maximum comfort, but it works.
