Wow! it was like night and day switching from the custom casters to these. The product FEELS and LOOKS sturdy and well made. The installation was quick and easy, really toolless. Depending on the chair you are installing them on and the condition of the hole, you might need a bit more force to push them in place. The experience after the change is really great. Smooth, obstruction-less gliding. No marks on the floor, (a huge plus) You should even be mindful of your movement with these wheels, it is so smooth and frictionless that you could go too quickly. They really are soundless and smooth gliding on my tiled floor. The 3inch height caused me to lower my chair a bit, but that is really not a big issue. Cannot believe the difference from the old standard wheels that came with my oversize 400# office chair and these 3” wheels. Smooth even when switching directions. Dropped these into my office chair. They were fairly straightforward to slot in and seem to roll OK enough. I do occasionally have to give a bit of extra force when pivoting the chair to the side and getting all the wheels to align in the new direction.

these seem to be good for wood floors and are very quiet. they are of a bit bigger diameter than the old casters, so the chair is slightly higher than before. the installation is very easy; it is harder to remove the old ones than to insert these. The build quality seems to be decent, and so these seem to be a decent buy. definitely recommend. ... show more

These castors are a must for wood floors. It doesn't damage your wood floor and glides so smoothly. A big plus is that they are so quiet and easy to put on. Hurry up and get some already!
