I use this foot rest under my work desk. It is adjustable to different chair heights. The material it soft. The cons are it doesn't look exactly like the product description, and I wish it had more adjustablity. There is a zipper around the bottom so you can remove the pads to wash the liner.

    • Prevented my leg back pain after sitting for long periods at my desk

In the chair I am currently using in order to be seated as low as possible, this 20" wide footrest has proven to be a game changer for me. Usually, I can barely walk for a bit when I first get up from my desk and table chairs but with this footrest I can walk immediately. It relieves the pressure on the backs of my legs and possibly affects my posture as a result. I found the rounded part to be too high (easily removed) but that might be different with a different chair. I removed the castors from my plush office chair to lower it in an effort to alleviate the significant pain and l might consider putting that great chair back into use with the top part of the cushion in place. I'm not sure why this works so well since I had tried two other footrests in the past that were not effective for me. One was flat the other was sloped and both were hard surfaces. The only negative thing is the stuff from the bottoms of my shoes sticks quite well to the cover...but it's easily brushed into the trash. Overall, I think it's great, as anyone with back, leg and foot pain exacerbated by sitting for extended periods can appreciate. I was pretty skeptical, especially for the price, but I am glad I tried it and will not hesitate to buy another one. The only change I would like to see is to make it wider than 11.2" so extending the legs doesn't require moving the footrest (and I have short legs). ... show more

The size was a little deceiving. It also appears to have the option to make it taller, but it's really just that it detaches from the base to make it shorter. Not bad quality, but not what I expected. Wouldn't buy it again.
