This OBDII scanner is about as basic as they come! It will scan your vehicle's diagnostic codes once you have input the appropriate manufacturer information. However, it lacks many of the important details that you might find on more expensive scanners. For example, it will show you the raw fault code, but not the detailed description assigned by the manufacturer. Expect to be left scouring the internet for possible leads. The build quality of the scanner is good. It has a rugged feel in your hand, and the color screen is easy to see in direct sunlight. The carrying bag is a nice addition as well since it keeps the cords in order and allows you to stash this underneath a car seat for safe keeping. I like ability to reset the oil change mileage and clear the schedule service lights on your dash. If that is something that is important to you, then I would say this tool is a good value. Otherwise, it seems overpriced for the features it provided when compared to other scanners on the market.
