I like the ease of use and the many additional feature most other scan devices only offer with a higher dollar cost, this device is affordable and seems to be made very well, has wifi car/truck/suv model specific software updates to fit what your trying to repair or monitor, I would really liked it to be touchscreen and automatic wifi updates, I've already been able to adjust throttle response and rpm control on my 2006 chevy cobalt ls, I'm still learning about all the additional features so all in all I'm very pleased with my scan tool Bosscomm purchase.

Like I read in other reviews it is just a little slow compared to a professional code scanner but for someone like me that tries to fix as many issues with my vehicle as I can on my own it works great. I didn’t read the instructions so it took me a little while to figure out how it all worked but I’m sure if I actually took the time the directions would have been helpful. The display is good quality and it feels like it’s built pretty well and also comes with a really nice case to keep it in. It doesn’t have everything you’d get in a professional grade scanner and doesn’t have every vehicle in its system but for someone like me it does everything I would need it to. Anything that I wouldn’t be able to find out with it or by testing components manually is better left to the professionals in my opinion even with my few years working as a basic mechanic.

I had a service light on and the transmission won't charge gears, so I took it to a mechanic and he had it for awhile and couldn't figure it out. I bought this scanner and it told me input speed sensor short. So my son in law climb under the vehicle and within 5 minutes he found a broken wire. Fixed it and now I'm back up and running like it did before . Love this scanner. Also easy to use .

The pros This obd2 reader is more than basic code reader and scanner that you get at the autoparts store around the same price. It's feature rich with detailed information It's loaded with detailed power train information and sensor relearn,abs bleed, battery resets. It comes in very nice case The device seems to be well built and rugged enough to take a little abuse. So the buttons are firm. Updates via wifi The cons. Iv used this on 2 vehicles so far and it doesn't do the automatic vehicle detection. It will show the Vin automatically and that's it. When plugging in you have to manually select your vehicle specs. This isn't a deal breaker for me but one vehicle I was working didn't have the engine specs nowhere on the engine or the body and this one vehicle comes with 3 different engine combinations. Not knowing the specific engine to put in was a chalange, even the owner didn't know which engine was in the car. If doesn't have a touch screen or a internal battery Even if you set the language for English some of the measurement are still in metric. The device isn't snappy fast. Different screens take a few seconds to pull up. Overall, for the price, the amount data this unit shows and it's special features you can't beat it. For me the pro's outweighs the cons by far. Iv had few scanners in the past and this blows all of them out the water.

We purchased due to having issues with my Chevy traverse, we also purchased this because we could use this on our Chevy Cruz . We have used this several times so far and its super easy to use. However , certain things I dont like my every time I have to put the chevy traverse in manuelly each time , when they have an automatic put but dose not give us the option for mine . Not sure how accurate it is because we have replaced all the parts ( sensors , and a fuel sensor in the front of the engine and the one underneath, maf , mass ect. I MEAN ALL OF THEM) We have used the machine to teach it the new parts , we have reset all the codes . And it is still coding the same thing it was before like we never changed the parts but we did . This was an investment for use to be able to use in the future but questioning how reliable and accurate it is for the price point . You can update this and connect it to wifi and we have done this as well .Not sure , this has so many features to it and that is the reason that we purchased it . Due to the situations we have I am not sure that I can recommend purchasing this or not . I am not sure if its the machine or my car .
