I bought this scanner after I had a code come up. I know for my car, sometimes small minor things throw codes but I wanted to be able to see the codes myself because I'm not always willing to drive to an auto store or car shop to have them do a diagnostic, esp. since they sometimes charge for this. For the price of lunch, I was able to get my own scanner. When my car just recently threw another code, I used this scanner. I didn't even read directions and it was that easy to use. Super simple interface with pretty intuitive design. I checked and pulled up the code on my car and found out exactly what the issue was. Simple to use. Just plug it in and it automatically checks. Then you scroll to read the code and poof, you have your own diagnostic without the cost and the drive to an auto store while your car may not be running well. ... show more

    • It's a nice size and works okay
It works okay but wish it could do more navigation wise you have to skip through all the options to get to where you want to be and the info doesn't display for very long so have remember the codes or write them down fast but it just the size see the screen and it functions well for what it does had problems connecting it to 07 fusion but I figured it out you have to slide the connector on at an angle other than it fit well on my other vehicle ... show more

I love how easy this product is to connect and use. I had a check engine light that came on because my battery died. And it wasn’t going away so I bought this product to erase the code and it did it so easily. For the price you really can’t beat it. Highly recommend.

    • Good tool to have
I had a check engine light come on my 2017 Silverado. The truck and gauges looked fine. Got my old code reader and it would not work. I decided to buy this reader and got the next day. Plugged it in and code said "rough idle" WTH! I erased the code and haven't had a problem since.

Product arrived very quickly. Plugged in right out of the box and scanned my vehicle. Accurately detecting a misfire in the second cylinder. Replaced coil myself and saved over $150 in diagnostic and repair costs.

    • Misleading description - just a basic OBDII scanner
I just used the tool on a 2001 Chevy and almost all of the features are N/A. It's really just a plain scanner with no advanced features. It doesn't show live data. It doesn't run EVAP test. It just read and clears codes.
