Chain cut very well straight from the package. Initial cuts were on a large dead oak I had cut down earlier. I was cutting and trimming up the 18" branches. No problems. I then switched to cedar trees which are very sappy this time of year. After cutting down 6 trees, all around 10-12", and trimming all of them, the chain held up very well. It needs a touch-up sharpening, but that is quite normal with all the cedars being cut. Four chains for the price of one is a winner in my book.

I have grown up in the country cut a lot of wood So my 2 cents on the chains are Great deal for the $ ,They stretchy a lot ! , I hit all my chains out of the box with a couple strokes on the file >ALL . If your cutting dry hard wood plan on 5 strokes or start and a few file strokes after every tank after 3rd file a couple strokes on the rakes- depth gauge and good to go , They file decent , My stove takes 12 in" wood to get a 10-12 hr burn so 4 cuts on 4' wood > < I did all of the above on 2 cords and its still got another 1/2 to 3/4 cord before I have to hit it with a file again and its at 1/2 life and this hardwood is bowling pin dry ! Buy Again !
