This thing is a beast. I do tree work for a living and it's not very often I need a saw this big, but when I do, it's great to have. I've used it three times in the last month for stump cuts. It's heavy as all get out but it EATS!!! Sounds like a camshaft engine!!

    • It eats!!
For starters it did not come with instructions to assemble...a quick YouTube search made it simple. Didn't start the first day, found out the spark plug was bad. $3.18 later and it was roaring. I use VP racing 40:1 premix fuel. Excellent choice. It's a heavy machine. Treat with care and it should last a long time. You may have to fiddle with the idle a bit. They tell you in the manual how to do it. Pretty straight forward directions. Run at least 3 tanks of gas through it before you decide to go full throttle as per directions. Next on the list is the sawmill! So far great chainsaw! If you are somewhat mechanically inclined you will be "A" okay! Even at half throttle this sliced through siberian elm like it wasn't even there! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. So far I love it! Honestly probably 20 min out of the box it was running. No issues yet. Ill try to keep up on this review but I think it's worth it. I cut into a maple tree log i bought this for and she chew right through.

    • Bad to the bone
Make no mistake the saw is heavy and very heavy with the 48” bar, but this saw is a tree eater no doubt. Down side: it will flood out easily, set the choke pull until it kicks over the first time than take the choke off and after a few pulls it will start. I put a Stihl 880 spark plug in from the beginning. ... show more

    • One monster saw
Arrived early and went together quick. It was hard starting until I checked the air gap on the flywheel. It was set at 18 thousands and so I reset it to 8 thousand and it fired right up and only needed minor high side carb adjustment.I have about 6 hrs milling a 44inch cedar log,and made several slabs . I added a dual port to the stock muffler and boy does it scream.Very happy with what Ill call the screaming chinaman ... show more
