  • Seems great so far
Paired this saw with a Tsumura 24'' bar and Oregon LGX chain. Initial starting was in about 35F weather, so I turned both adjusters out about a quarter turn before trying to start and gave it a squirt of premix from a bottle. Started immediately, but died. Coughed on choke on second pull and started with no choke on third pull (I consider this very good for what its worth). Tuning was spot on without adjustment; it four stroked on free rev and cleaned up in the cut. Drop starting is easy with or without use of the decompression button and the saw restarts easily when hot (one pull the 3-4 times I tried). For break in, I am using the recommended 25:1 mix, which surprisingly didn't smoke much at all (I use Golden Spectro for oil, have been using it in my MX bike since the 1990's and run it in everything I own). Mixing bottle that comes with it was confusing to me, since I've never seen one like it before, but I really liked it once I figured it out. Basically, the wide side has a 0.5L and 1L (i.e. 10) marking) The smaller container on the side has 25:1, 30:1, 40:1, and 50:1 markings for both 0.5L and 1L on various sides. Just fill the small container with oil to 5 or 10, depending on if you put 1/2 or 1L into the large part, on the side that matches your desired ratio. After that, tilt the container back and forth and shake until all oil is washed from the small container/mixed. I like that I can make small batches (e.g. single tank batches - I don't like to let premix sit more than a few weeks) accurately and that all oil is completely mixed (as opposed to measuring, then some oil is stuck to cup). Regarding the saw's performance, I come from 38cc-55cc consumer saws (i.e. 38cc Earthquake/Poulan Wild Thing with 18'' bars, a 50cc Poulan Pro with a 20'' bar, Husqvarna Rancher 455 (55cc) w/20'' bar, etc.), so can't say that it performs as well as the real 372XP, but it sounds very mean and is the most powerful saw I've ever cut with by far. The chips are huge and a sight to behold coming off of the giant "mudflap" that sits right behind and under the drive sprocket. It will absolutely handle anything around me (I'm in Southern NH) and is really probably overkill for the few cords a year I cut/cleanup of a 2 acre lot and helping my dad with a summer place/his 10 acres. I will say that it is quite a bit heavier than my other saws and I will probably still use those saws for limbing and light use, just due to the extra weight. No issues with the saw failing to hold a tune, leaking oil, or anything like that so far. Also, muffler does not have a catalytic converter element and is otherwise pretty wide open (most of my saws I've had to cut the muffler open and remove that junk then weld it all back together to get them to perform OK). The carburetor on mine also did not have the limiters that prevent adjustment. I tend to 'fix' these issues as soon as I get a new piece of equipment, so was pleasantly surprised that I didn't need to on this one! Really happy with my purchase so far! ... show more

  • Good even for commercial use
Has been dependable after adjusting the carburetor fuel to air flow. Will buy more.

  • TRASH
Bought this saw after a watching few reviews on it and thought it would be a good alternative to a real Husky for my new business. Boy was I wrong…. Took her out to my first job, the thing kept stalling out while doing a removal during my back cut, forcing me to buy a new saw just to complete the job and get the tree on the ground… Took it to get tuned twice and it just won’t hold, changed the spark plug, and has screws backing out of the muffler, chain break, as well as the bar nuts on few to many occasions, and oil just leaks out the bottom even after adjusting the oil tensioner. Works some days flawlessly and quits completely on other days and I can’t run it without having some kind of issue most of the time. When it runs I love it but In between what it costs me to try to fix it and replace it I have spent well over what it would cost to buy a real Husqvarna 372xp Not good for business!! ... show more

  • Good saw but has issues
My personal experience says that this is a good saw for the price but in my case it required tinkering. The first time I used it, the rpm would not stay stable. It would idle fine and then just start racing on its own. When I tried to give it throttle it would bog and not Rev as high as it should according to my cordless tach. So I adjusted the carb and all seemed better. Then I started cutting. After a few cuts of big logs it started to bog a bit again. Then it cleared up. Then a few minutes later it started running at a bit higher rpm when cutting. Then a few minutes later it shut off and wouldn't restart. Very low compression. Turns out the carb won't hold a tune and does what it wants. It went lean and cooked the piston and ring. I replaced the cylinder and piston with an upgraded aftermarket kit and replace the carb with a Husqvarna OEM Walbro carb. Now the saw works great! Used it hard for an entire day. This is a great saw if you replace the carb with the Husqvarna OEM carb as soon as you get it. Even with the expense of buying an OEM carb on top of this saw a person is still spending way less than the Husqvarna 372xp and getting a saw I feel is just as good. I gave this saw 4 stars only because of the carb issues which I almost expected due to the price of the saw. With a good carb it's a 5 star saw. ... show more

  • Seems like it has potential,,,but
I have one,but the first thing I noticed is the carb lacks the same quality as an oem carb on Husqvarna originals. With that being said,I ordered an oem husqvarna carb for it (walbro or zama) And will be throwing the cheap carb into the deepest region of hell.

  • Tough one
The saw looks great. Started it and used it. Very strong and cuts easily. I just need to get saw tuned up because it keep shutting off when stop cutting with it

  • Questionable
Took a chance bought one...the carburetor is no good wont hold a tune, had to buy another carb $30.00 got it to run but its no a top quality product...$295 for the saw $90 for bar & chain $30 better carburetor total $415.00 so far. Could have bought a Husqvarna 545 Mark-2 for $599. $184 more, but you have quality for years that you can trade-in, sell, etc. Yes the 545 Husky only 50cc but it will out-cut this 71cc s knock-off saw. Be careful if you don't know much about mechanics . ... show more
